The Teikyo University Support Center for Women Physicians and Researchers assists female medical professionals in achieving their full potential, juggling their social obligations, and conducting high-caliber research throughout their lives.
Head of Center Hiroko Okinaga Speaks at Harvard University
On Friday, September 15, 2017, Hiroko Okinaga, director of the Teikyo University Support Center for Women Physicians and Researchers; Mariko Inoue, associate professor at the Graduate School of Public Health; and Kyoko Nomura, former director of the office and currently a professor in the Public Health course at Akita University School of Medicine, gave lectures at the Advancing Women in Public Health & Medicine Symposium held at Harvard University (Boston, USA).
We support the work-life balance of female researchers through three support initiatives: the "Research Support Staff Assignment System," the "Childcare Facility Usage Subsidy System," and the "Babysitter Discount Coupon Issuance Program."

Selected for the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare [FY2020 Medical Career Support Project for Child-rearing Generations]
The purpose of this project is to help medical professionals of the child-rearing generation balance their careers and families, and to disseminate effective support measures both locally and nationwide. We will understand the needs of the child-rearing generation through needs surveys and interviews, and work to expand support systems, create a work environment conducive to childbirth and childcare, and raise awareness. We look forward to hearing your frank opinions.
It was established on the Itabashi Campus to collaborate closely with the School of Medicine and its other centers and organizations.
