We aim to be a teacher so that all children can spend their time smiling every day.

Q1. What made you want to become a teacher?

The first thing I noticed was when I was in the second year of junior high school. The existence of my sister was the biggest opportunity, and I started thinking about the teachers of the special needs school as one of my goals. After that, I became strongly motivated to become a teacher at a special needs school by interacting with the teachers in the field and actually watching the lessons. I learned about the fun and rewarding things of the children who actually attend the special needs school and the state of the school. I thought that the children would be better suited to themselves through the experience of smiling and admiring them.

Q2. Please tell us what you worked on to become a teacher after enrollment.

I entered the university with the goal of becoming a teacher at a special needs school, so I actively learned about special needs education. By entering the special needs education seminar, I was able to gain more specialized knowledge by studying special needs education myself and learning from people's presentations. I have learned to acquire the knowledge and skills I need while being aware of the differences between elementary schools and special needs schools. In addition, I was able to volunteer and learn about the actual atmosphere of the site and the state of the children.

Q3. How was it using the teaching profession center?

When I visited for questions in the written content and correction of essays, the teachers at the Teaching Profession Center taught me very kindly and politely. I was very anxious about the teacher employment exam, and I asked the teachers of the teaching profession center many times about my anxiety, but they always listened to me sincerely. It was a very encouraging existence because I was able to receive consultations on psychological aspects other than studying. I'm glad I went because I thought I'd do my best because I used it a lot.

Q4. Please tell me the measures for the teacher employment exam.

Until the first stage, I was working on correcting essays little by little while solving reference books. I was recommended by the university, so I was also practicing an interview at the same time. I marked problems that I couldn't solve in the reference book, repeated until I could, and shared problems with my friends. I wrote the essay anyway and did a number to get used to it. I voluntarily participated in the second interview practice, and voluntarily participated in the practice opportunities that I could participate in.

Q5. Please tell us what you learned in the practical training.

I learned the importance of studying teaching materials in elementary school training. There are some classes where there are about 40 children for each teacher, so I felt that one teacher was required to have a very high level of power. I realized that it is important for the staff to work together and cooperate as a team school. In the educational training at the special needs school, I realized the importance of being involved with each child. I also felt that it was necessary to develop the ability to grasp the actual situation of children. Therefore, I thought that it was necessary to actively talk with the children and acquire an attitude of trying to understand them. I learned that studying teaching materials, understanding the actual situation, and cooperating with each other are important not only for elementary schools and special needs schools.

Q6. Please tell us the image of the teacher you are aiming for.

I want to be a teacher who can educate all children so that they can spend their days with smiles every day. Due to the reality that the understanding of disabilities in the world is not advanced, there are some situations where children find it difficult to live in society. Even in such situations, I would like to become a teacher who can educate children so that they can spend time with smiles.

Q7. Please give some advice to current students who are aiming to become teachers.

I think it is important to learn a lot from volunteers and actual school sites and to get to know the job of a teacher. Just knowing the site will give you a lot of confidence. I think that if you can absorb a lot of knowledge by connecting with the teachers in the field, you will be able to grow significantly. Also, it is important to take on the challenge. I myself have missed an important opportunity without taking on the challenge. There are many things that you will not know until you try them, so please try many things and deepen your knowledge.
