About the External English Testing System
If you meet the standard score for an English qualification or proficiency test, you can apply for it at the time of application and have it evaluated. Evaluation methods include "preferential treatment," "bonus points," and "score conversion." Please refer to the entrance examination guidelines for information on eligible qualifications and proficiency tests, eligible entrance exams, eligible faculties, departments, and courses, and detailed evaluation methods.
You may submit your application if your total score exceeds the university's standards. Please submit a copy (A4 size, portrait orientation) of your "Personal Academic Transcript" or "CSE Score Certificate." For digital certificates, please submit a printout of the preview screen. Please refer to the entrance examination guidelines for information on eligible faculties, departments, and entrance examination categories.
Only documents issued by the English Language Proficiency Test Foundation of Japan will be accepted for individual score sheets. Please submit a printout of the preview screen for digital certificates. Please refer to the entrance examination guidelines for details.
Even if your score is converted, you must still take our university's written English examination. The higher of the following two scores will be used as your "English" score for admission decisions: "Score obtained from taking our university's English subject" and "Converted score." For details on eligible qualifications/certification exams, eligible entrance examinations, eligible faculties/departments/courses, and detailed evaluation methods, please refer to the entrance examination guidelines.
For bonus points, you can use the system even if you did not select "English" as an examination subject. However, for score conversion, the higher of "the score you received on the university's English exam" and "the converted score" will be used as the "English" score for the pass/fail decision, so you must take the university's English exam. For eligible qualifications/certification exams, eligible entrance exams, eligible faculties/departments/courses, and detailed evaluation methods, please refer to the entrance examination guidelines.
