In today's society, where the digitalization of industrial activities and social systems is progressing, there is a demand for human resources who have not only specialized knowledge in the relevant field but also the knowledge and skills necessary for digitalization.For this reason, we launched the Master's degree program "Graduate Degree Program of Comprehensive Applied Data Science" in April 2022 to train highly specialized professionals who have specialized knowledge and practical skills in data science.The program is characterized by a cross-disciplinary and interdisciplinary curriculum established through close collaboration and cooperation with multiple existing graduate schools. Another feature is that the school actively utilizes on-demand teaching materials, learning management systems (LMS), web conferencing systems, etc. to enable flexible teaching between faculty and students at four geographically separated campuses. This allows for detailed instruction tailored to the needs of working students who are constrained by time and location. We welcome students who wish to acquire advanced specialized knowledge and practical skills in data science, who wish to work in a career collaborating with data scientists in a variety of fields in the future, and who are motivated to utilize data, regardless of their field of study: humanities, science, or medicine.
