Professor Kiyotaka Watanabe graduated from the University of Tokyo School of Medicine in 1996. After training in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine, he joined the Department of Gastroenterology at the University of Tokyo Hospital, and in 2008 became the Director of the Cancer Control and Information Center at the National Cancer Center, where he was involved in providing information on the Cancer Information Service website.
