Headquarters Facilities Division (Energy Manager)
Tadashi Ishino
Headquarters Facilities Division is an organization that is responsible for managing fixed assets, submitting campus building registrations, maintaining and managing university facilities, and handling new building construction and large-scale renovation work. I work on energy conservation and global warming countermeasures from the perspective of facility management (FM).
A cooperative system was established among all facilities on Itabashi Campus, including the university, affiliated hospital, corporate headquarters, kindergarten, and vocational school, as well as the facilities management companies and tenant companies, and an energy conservation promotion system was rebuilt.
Based on the guidelines of the "Top Level Business Establishment Certification System" (a system that certifies business establishments that excel in promoting global warming countermeasures) promoted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, we are implementing a concrete plan with the aim of acquiring certification.
While opening the classroom to students, we also make sure that air conditioning and electricity are not turned on except when necessary, and present concrete action plans to relevant parties. We will create a cooperative system by having the results confirmed numerically.
By visualizing the results numerically, motivation is increased, and not only the energy saving effect but also the "energy saving culture" that is not bound by the sense of duty and the consciousness of being deprived of freedom continues to increase.
If we can establish a code of conduct as well as capital investment, it will become a culture and energy efficiency can be permanently brushed up. Taking over this through education will be the energy to create the future.
