Master’s Degree Program

A person who falls under any of the following items, or a person who is expected to fall under any of the following items by the end of March 2024.

  • (1) Those who have graduated from university.
  • (2) Those who have been awarded a bachelor's degree pursuant to the provisions of Article 104, Paragraph 7 of the School Education Law.
  • (3) Those who have completed a 16-year course in school education in a foreign country.
  • (4) Those who have completed a 16-year course in foreign school education by taking courses in correspondence education conducted by a foreign school in Japan.
  • (5)Those who has completed a specialized training course at a special training school (limited to a course of 4 years or more in length and meeting other criteria specified by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology), and completed on or after the date specified by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, a special training college course.
  • (6) Those who are designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
  • (7) Those who have reached the age of 22 and who have been recognized as having academic ability equal to or higher than those who have graduated from university by individual entrance qualification examination according to the provisions of this graduate school.
  • * For (7), those who have passed the entrance qualification examination can apply for the entrance examination. If you wish to have an individual examination for admission qualifications, please read the individual admission qualification examination page carefully and follow the procedure.
  • * Those who can apply for the 1-year Master’s Degree Program are those who have the following practical experience in health care (clinical training is also regarded as practical).

[Requirements for applying for a 1-year Master’s Degree Program]
When applying for a 1-year course, those who meet the above requirements for application qualifications and have work experience with specified below are eligible.

(Medical, dental, pharmaceutical, School of Medicine etc.)

It means practical experience in medical institutions such as hospitals and clinics, administrative institutions related to health care, non-profit organizations, pharmaceutical industry, etc.
Whether or not a person has practical experience shall be finally certified by individual judgment at the time of the interview, using the above definition as the formal standard.

(Pharmacy, Nursing, Health Sciences, etc.) Completed

Doctoral Program

A person who falls under any of the following items, or a person who is expected to fall under any of the following items by the end of March 2024.

  • (1) Those who have a master's degree or a professional degree.
  • (2) Those who has been awarded a bachelor's degree or a degree equivalent to a professional degree in a foreign country.
  • (3) Those who have taken courses in correspondence education conducted by a foreign school in Japan and have been awarded a bachelor's degree or a degree equivalent to a professional degree.
  • (4)Those who are designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
  • (5)Those who have reached the age of 24 and who have been recognized as having academic abilities equal to or higher than those with a master's degree or professional degree by individual entrance qualification examinations pursuant to the provisions of this graduate school.
  • * Those who have graduated from a 6-year undergraduate program are subject to admission qualification screening.
  • * (1) For applicants who are expected to obtain the certificate, if they do not qualify at the time of admission, the admission will be revoked.
  • * For (5), those who have passed the entrance qualification examination can apply for the entrance examination. If you wish to have an individual examination for admission qualifications, please read the individual admission qualification examination page carefully and follow the procedure.

How to pay the entrance examination fee

Please pay from the entrance examination fee settlement guidance.
Guidance URL
Please pay from the Guidance for Payment of Application Fee. Prior request for application is required before payment. Please access the "Guidance for Payment of Application Fee" site and enter the prescribed information required for payment. When entering the information, you will need to enter your reference number. Please enter the 8-digit number [12345678] as your "reference number". After entering the information, please select a payment method and pay at the payment institution you have selected (in addition to the application fee, a handling fee of 1,100 yen per payment will be charged).
After entering the information, select the payment method and pay at the payment institution of your choice (in addition to the entrance examination fee, a payment fee of 1,100 yen will be charged for each case). We will send you a payment confirmation email as soon as we can confirm it. Please access the "Admission Examination Fee Settlement Guidance" from the URL in the payment confirmation email, print out the "Certificate of Storage" and paste it in the designated field on the storage slip (If you do not receive the email, access it from the URL). You will receive a confirmation email once the application fee payment has been verified. Please access the "Guidance for Payment of Application Fee" site from the URL in the confirmation email, print out the "Proof of Payment" and affix it to the corresponding space on the storage slip (if you do not receive an email, please access the site from the URL).
The application period extends from one week before the start date of the application period to 16:30 on the day of the application deadline.

How to apply

■ When mailing (must arrive by the deadline)
Print out the "address sheet" at the end of the entrance examination guidelines in A4 size, fill in the necessary information, attach it to the envelope (Kaku 2) prepared by each person, enclose the set of application documents, and be sure to send it by "registered mail" from the post office. Please send by mail.
Please keep the "receipt of registered mail/delivery record mail" issued by the post office in a safe place.
Applications must arrive by the deadline. Deadline postmark is not valid.

If you bring the application documents to the university office
Please print out the "Address Sheet" at the end of the Admission Examination Guideline in A4 size, fill in the necessary information, affix it to an envelope (size Kakugou 2) prepared by each applicant, place the complete set of application documents in the envelope, and bring it to the university.

Examination slip

The admission ticket will be handed to you at the venue on the day of the exam. Please bring something that can prove your identity.

Notes on Application

  1. If the application documents are incomplete, we will not accept them.
  2. The submitted application documents and entrance examination fee will not be refunded.
  3. Once the application has been submitted, no changes to the documents will be allowed under any circumstances.
  4. Even after the admission procedures have been completed, the university reserves the right to cancel the admission if the submitted documents are found to be inaccurate.

The selection of admission will be a comprehensive judgment of document screening (statement of reasons for aspiration, etc.), oral examination, and English proficiency.
