Teikyo University Public Health Research Doctor Training Scholarship

For training public health research doctors, we have established a scholarship system for Public Health Research Doctor Training Course. For more information on the Public Health Research Doctor Training Course, please contact the Public Health Course.

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Those who are willing to enroll in the Public Health Research Doctor Training Course under the Integrated Program of the School of Medicine and Graduate School of Medicine ,and participate in the educational activities in the Public Health Research Doctor Training Course. In addition, you can participate in the educational activities from the first grade of School of Medicine. This activities allow to participate from the middle grade.
  2. Those who are willing to engage with research about public health for a specified period after graduating School of Medicine and Graduate School of Medicine ,and obtaining a doctoral degree (medicine).
  3. A applicant who has excellent grades ,and is sound in both mind and body.

Recruitment capacity

3 people every year

Loan amount

[School of Medicine 1st, 2nd and 3rd year] 50,000 yen per month
[School of Medicine 4, 5 and 6 years] 100,000 yen per month
[4 years Graduate School doctoral course] 50,000 yen per month
[Initial clinical training for 2 years] 100,000 yen per month (when conducting initial clinical training at the university hospital before entering Graduate School school)

Lending period

A total of 10 years (6 years in School of Medicine and 4 years in Doctoral course of medicine. If the loan is decided from the middle grade, the period is from the grade in which the scholarship loan is decided to the 4th year of Graduate School.
(Add 2 years if initial clinical training is carried out at the university's affiliated hospital before enrolling into the Graduate School)

Academic performance after enrollment, interviews, application documents, etc. 

Terms for exemption from refund

After completing the course, if you work as a researcher in the field of public health for the compulsory term, you will be exempt from the refund.
