Helicopters are now useful vehicles that are active in various fields such as disasters, security, medical care, and news. Therefore, in our laboratory, we are researching operational know-how and necessary equipment to smoothly carry out various missions using helicopters. We would like to contribute to safe, reliable, and rational helicopter operations, along with research on whether it is possible to prevent accidents from occurring.

Our Research

piloting a helicopter

In order to smoothly and rationally implement various operations that take advantage of the characteristics of helicopters, what should be considered, what operations should be performed, and what kind of equipment should be operated? We will promote research on whether it is easy to operate, and create meaningful materials for pilots and operators.

Safe operation of helicopters

Helicopter accidents can be broadly categorized into faulty equipment, weather judgment errors, spatial disorientation, operational misperceptions and judgment errors, lack of skill, and poor crew coordination, and most are caused by people. In order to prevent these human errors, we are conducting research from the perspective of human factors to prevent accidents.
