*1Students may not select courses in their native language or mother tongue for each course in the Department of Language Studies in the Faculty of Language Studies.
* 2 As a general rule, all students in the Department of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of Foreign Studies will study abroad in the second half of the second year. The destination of study may vary depending on the course. Study Abroad Destinations: Choose the United Kingdom, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Philippines or Malaysia for the English Course; Germany for the German Course, France or Canada for the French Course; Spain for the Spanish Course; China or Taiwan for the Chinese Course, and Korea for the Korean Course (the study abroad destination may change due to various circumstances). In principle, it is necessary to apply for a visa. If you are not issued a visa, you will not be able to study abroad.
* 3 As a general rule, the Department of Global Japanese Studies of the Faculty of Language Studies offers a language and culture training program for all students in the first semester of their second year (the training destination is one of our partner universities in Japan).
[Caution for transfer applicants]
1Depending on the results of the examination and the number and content of credits already earned, admission may be changed to the 2nd year, even if the student has applied for 3rd year transfer. (Only for departments that accept applications for 2nd year transfer)
2 If a student fails to acquire the number of credits required for admission by March 31, 2023 after completing the admission procedures, the year of admission will be changed or admission will be cancelled.
3If a prospective student fails to graduate (complete) from a junior college or other institution by March 31, 2023, after completing the enrollment procedures, the admission will be cancelled.

To be eligible to apply, all of the following conditions (1-4) must be met.
Those who have foreign nationality.
Applicants must have a Student status of residence in accordance with the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act. Or, those who currently have a status of residence other than Student that allows them to stay in Japan for a medium- to long-term period, and who, after passing the university entrance examination and completing the prescribed admission procedures, will be able to obtain the Student status as an enrolled student of Teikyo University or Teikyo University Junior College by March 31, 2023, by applying for permission to change their status of residence (However, only those who have the Student status of residence will be allowed to take the examination for Phase II.). *Permanent Resident, Spouse or Child of Permanent Resident, Spouse or Child of Japanese National, or Permanent Resident, and Special Permanent Resident as defined in the Act on Special Measures Concerning Immigration Control for Persons who have Renounced Japanese Nationality under the Treaty of Peace with Japan are not allowed to take the Special Entrance Examination for International Students.
Residents of Japan (however, only for the Phase I examination, if a foreign resident enters Japan on a short-term visa and wishes to take the examination, he/she may only do so if he/she has a representative who is able to carry out the procedures in Japan).
Those who meet any of the following educational background conditions.
Those who have completed 12 years of school education (including 11 years or more of courses separately designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) in a foreign country (including those who are expected to graduate by March 2023). However, those who have attended elementary, junior high or senior high school under the Japanese School Education Law must have been enrolled for a total of three years or less. *If a student attends a 'foreign school in Japan' or an 'overseas educational institution recognized by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology', the period of attendance is regarded as the same as attendance at an elementary, junior high or senior high school under the Japanese School Education Law.
Those who have completed less than 12 years of secondary education in a foreign country and have completed, or are expected to complete by March 2023, a preparatory course for university admission at an educational institution designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in Japan.
Those aged 18 and over who have passed the academic ability certification test equivalent to the completion of a 12-year course in a foreign country (for courses of less than 12 years, the student must also complete a designated preparatory course or a course at a training institute).
Those who hold the International Baccalaureate, Abitur, Baccalaureate, and GCEA levels that are qualifications for admission to a foreign university.
Those who have completed a 12-year course in an educational facility accredited by an international evaluation body (WASC, CIS, ACSI) (including those expected to complete by March 2023).
Transfer applicants must meet one of the following conditions in addition to conditions (1-4) mentioned above.
Transfer Students (2nd year)
Those who have graduated from a junior college in a foreign country or in Japan, or are expected to graduate by March 2023.
Students who have studied at a university in a foreign country or in Japan for at least one year and have earned the equivalent of 31 credits or more, or are expected to have done so by March 2023.
Those who have graduated from a technical college under the School Education Act of Japan or are expected to graduate by March 2023.
Those who have completed, or are expected to complete by March 2023, an upper-level course at an advanced vocational school under the School Education Act of Japan, which is at least two years in length and has a total of at least 1,700 hours of teaching required for completion.
Persons who have completed, or are expected to complete in March 2023, a course of study in a specialized department of a high school, etc. (with a duration of at least two years and meet the criteria specified by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology).
Persons who have completed, or are expected to complete by March 2023, 14 or more years of schooling in a foreign country or in Japan according to the standard school curriculum, including 12 years of school education according to the standard school curriculum.
[Transfer (3rd year)]
Those who have graduated from a junior college in a foreign country or in Japan, or are expected to graduate by March 2023.
Students who have studied at a university in a foreign country or in Japan for at least two years and have earned or are expected to earn the equivalent of at least 62 credits by March 2023.
Those who have graduated from a technical college under the School Education Act of Japan or are expected to graduate by March 2023.
Those who have completed, or are expected to complete by March 2023, an upper-level course at an advanced vocational school under the School Education Act of Japan, which is at least two years in length and has a total of at least 1,700 hours of teaching required for completion.
Persons who have completed, or are expected to complete in March 2023, a course of study in a specialized department of a high school, etc. (with a duration of at least two years and meet the criteria specified by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology).
Persons who have completed, or are expected to complete by March 2023, 14 or more years of schooling in a foreign country or in Japan according to the standard school curriculum, including 12 years of school education according to the standard school curriculum.
* If you have an academic background that meets the application qualifications for 3rd year transfer, you can apply for 2nd year transfer or 1st year transfer.

The details of face photo registration (data registration. The photo registered at the time of application will be used for the student ID card after enrollment) are as follows.

・Color photo (photo data file must be jpg only, file size must be at least 240KB and no larger than 8MB)
・ Please register your ID photo (front upper body, no cap, no background) taken within 3 months before application. If you will wear glasses during the examination, photograph should be taken with glasses.
Entrance examination fee
Method A: 35,000 yen / Method B: 20,000 yen
* The paid entrance examination fee will not be refunded for any reason.
How to pay the entrance examination fee
(1) Access the Internet application site from the URL below, enter the examinee information and application information, and then the entrance examination fee will be calculated automatically (in addition to the entrance examination fee, 1,100 yen per case). (2) Follow the instructions on the screen to select the payment method for the examination fee. You can choose from credit cards, online banking, convenience stores, and ATMs (pay-easy ATMs).

[When paying at a convenience store or ATM (ATM that can be used by Pay-easy)] → After selecting the convenience store name or ATM (pay-easy), click the "Get payment information" button. "Payment information" is necessary information when making a payment, so be sure to take notes or print it out. Please bring the obtained "payment information" and pay the entrance examination fee at a convenience store / ATM.
It is not necessary to submit a receipt for the entrance examination fee when applying. The application period begins one week prior to the application start date and ends at 4:30 p.m. on the day of the application deadline.
How to apply
After transferring the entrance examination fee, proceed to the "My Page" menu "STEP 4 Application Confirmation" on the Internet application site and apply. Download and print the envelope from the "Address Label" button in the list, and attach it to an envelope that can hold A4 size documents. Please select from the following two application methods.
When mailing
・ Please put the application documents in an envelope and mail them by "simplified registered mail" from the post office within the application period.
・ Please keep the "Receipt for Registered/Specified Recorded Mail, etc." issued by the post office in a safe place.

Notes on Application
Applications will not be accepted if [Application Information Registration], [Payment of Application Fee], and [Receipt of Application Documents] are not completed by the application deadline.
If the application documents are incomplete, we do not accept them.
Submitted application documents and the application fee will not be returned under any circumstances.
Once the application fee has been paid, changes in the examination date, school, department, course, year, examination method, or EJU selection period will not be permitted under any circumstances.
If the address or contact information entered in the application form changes, please submit a "Notice of Relocation" to the post office and immediately notify the campus where you applied.
Special considerations for taking exams and studying If you need special consideration for the examination and study due to physical disability, illness, illness, etc., please notify the campus where you plan to apply at least two weeks before the application deadline. After a decision has been made by the University, you will be required to submit your application. Please note that there may be cases in which we are unable to accommodate your request. Also, if you need special consideration after filing due to an unexpected accident, please contact us as soon as possible.
About the Examination Voucher
After the examination number is confirmed, an "Examination Number Confirmation Email" will be sent to the email address registered at the time of application.
The admission ticket (PDF format) will be issued based on the information at the time of application. The admission ticket will not be issued by mail, so log in to "My Page" on the Internet application site, download it from "Online Examination Voucher" in the "My Page" menu, and then print using your home printer or a print service at a convenience store. When printing, print in color on A4 size blank paper. Be sure to bring your admission ticket on the day of the exam.
Please be sure to check the contents after printing the admission ticket. If your application is different from the one you submitted, please notify the campus where you submitted your application immediately.
If you do not receive the "Examination Number Confirmation Email" or the examination admission ticket is not displayed, please be sure to notify the campus where you applied for the examination at least 3 days before the examination date.
If the application documents are incomplete, the admission ticket cannot be issued until they are completed.
