  4. Those who meet any of the following educational background conditions.
    • Those who have completed 12 years of regular school education in a foreign country (including 11 years or more of school education separately designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) (including those who are expected to complete by March 2024). However, those who have attended elementary school, junior high school, high school, etc. based on the Japanese School Education Act are limited to cases where the total period is within 3 years.

    • Those who hold the International Baccalaureate, Abitur, Baccalaureate, and GCEA levels that are qualifications for admission to a foreign university.
    • Those who have completed a 12-year course at an educational institution accredited by an international evaluation body (WASC, CIS, ACSI) (including those who are expected to complete by March 2024).

Transfer applicants must meet one of the following conditions in addition to conditions (1-4) mentioned above.

Transfer Students (2nd year)

  • Those who have graduated from a junior college in a foreign country or in Japan, or those who are expected to graduate by March 2024.
  • Those who have been enrolled at a university in a foreign country or in Japan for at least one year and have earned at least 31 credits or are expected to do so by March 2024.
  • Those who have graduated from a technical college under the School Education Act of Japan, or those who are expected to graduate by March 2024.
  • Those who have completed a specialized training school with a minimum term of 2 years and a total of 1,700 hours or more of class hours required for completion under the School Education Act of Japan, or those who are expected to complete by March 2024 person.
  • Those who have completed or are expected to complete in March 2024 an advanced course at a high school, etc. (with a duration of two years or more and meeting the standards set by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology).

  • Those who have graduated from a technical college under the School Education Act of Japan, or those who are expected to graduate by March 2024.
  • Those who have completed a specialized training school with a minimum term of 2 years and a total of 1,700 hours or more of class hours required for completion under the School Education Act of Japan, or those who are expected to complete by March 2024 person.

Special considerations for taking exams and studying

  1. After your examinee number has been confirmed, an "examination ticket e-mail" will be sent to the e-mail address you registered at the time of application.
  2. The admission ticket (PDF format) will be issued based on the information at the time of application. The admission ticket will not be issued by mail, so log in to "My Page" on the Internet application site, download it from "Online Examination Voucher" in the "My Page" menu, and then print using your home printer or a print service at a convenience store.
