● The number of applicants for each examination category is expected to be the number of applicants who have completed the procedures.
● If the acceptance criteria are not met, the number of successful applicants may not reach the number of students to be admitted.

  • * 1 The Open Enrollment System is implemented in Phase I, and the Priority Admission School System is implemented in Phases I and II. The number of students to be admitted is the total number of Phases I and II.
  • * 2Students who have passed the General Selection Phase I and II and have high grades will be awarded a special scholarship.
  • * 3 The number of applicants for the Common Test for University Admissions are the total number of applicants for the first and second phases.

Available benefits and systems

Benefits of taking the exam for 2 days or more
If applicants take the examination for the same faculty, department, or course on two different days for each time period (Period I and Period II), the following scores will be used to determine whether the applicant passed or failed the examination.

Double-subjects method* 1 The total score of the two subjects and the interview score will be combined on each test day, and the highest score will be selected.
Double-subjects method* 2 Double-subjects system* 2 On the single-subject method test day, the "score of one subject" is converted into the equivalent of two subjects and then added to the "interview score." On the double-subject method test day, the "total score of two subjects" and the "interview score" are added together, and the higher of the two scores is used.
Essay method * 2 Double-subjects method* 2 On the day of the Essay Method examination, the "essay score" and "interview score" are combined, and on the day of the single-subject method examination, the "total score of one subject" and "interview score" are combined, and the score for each day is calculated.

If you meet the standard score of the English qualification / certification test specified by the university, you can use the results of the English external test by applying at the time of application. In the comprehensive selection of the Faculty of Liberal Arts, it will be taken into consideration when making a pass / fail judgment. If you meet the standard score of the English qualification / certification test specified by the university, you can use the results of the English external test by applying at the time of application. In the school recommendation type selection (open recruitment system) of the Faculty of Liberal Arts, it will be taken into consideration when making a pass / fail judgment. Benefits of taking the exam for two different days or more
If applicants take the examination for the same faculty, department, or course on two or three days for each time period ( Phase I, II, and III), the date with the highest total score of the three subject tests for each examination day will be used to determine whether the applicant passes or fails the examination.

Applicants may select a second choice (subject to restrictions on electives, departments, etc.).

English external test use system
If you meet the standard score of the English qualification / certification test specified by the university, you can use the results of the English external test by applying at the time of application. In the general selection of the Faculty of Liberal Arts, it will be taken into consideration when making a pass / fail judgment. For details, please refer to "Admissions Examination Guidelines 2023".

Payment system for admission procedure (Phase I only)
Applicants who have been accepted for Phase I may pay the admission fee by the first deadline and the remaining amount by the second deadline. However, the applicant will be deemed to have no intention of enrolling and admission will be revoked if the admission fee is not paid by the first deadline or the remaining balance is not paid by the second deadline.

Selection Process

Pass or fail will be determined using the sum of the top three scores on the 2023 Common Test for University Admissions in the subjects and courses chosen by the university. The university won't administer any individual achievement tests.

The applicant must be a citizen of Japan who received their education in a foreign country under a foreign educational system while their parents or legal guardians were abroad.
