Selection of overseas students will be conducted in Vietnam (Hanoi), China (Dalian, Shanghai, Beijing), and South Korea (Seoul). The examination method and selection process consist of a written examination, interview, and screening of documentation. The written examination will be either the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT/JPT) or the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU). Please be sure to check the relevant websites before taking the examination.
※Applicants to the Faculty of Science and Engineering who choose to take the JLPT or JPT are required to take the subjects specified by the university.

*1Students may not select courses in their native language or mother tongue for each course in the Department of Language Studies in the Faculty of Language Studies. As a general rule, all 2nd year students of the Faculty of Language Studies of the Department of Language Studies will study abroad during the autumn period. The destination of study may vary depending on the course. 【Study Abroad Destination】 Choose the United Kingdom, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Philippines or Malaysia for the English Course; Germany for the German Course, France or Canada for the French Course; Spain for the Spanish Course; China or Taiwan for the Chinese Course, and Korea for the Korean Course (the study abroad destination may change due to various circumstances). As a general rule, a visa application is required. If a visa is not issued, you will not be able to study in Japan.
* 2The Department of Global Japanese Studies in the Faculty of Language Studies offers a language and culture training program for all students in the first semester of their second year in principle (the training destination is one of our partner universities in Japan).
