Thinking about the mechanism of health promotion and sports performance improvement from the molecular level

Seminar introduction
Because humans are a collection of cells, when something changes in the body, the change begins at the cellular level. In order to understand the changes in the body caused bynutrition, aging and exercise, it is important to understand from the molecular level to the individual level without limiting the subjects. Therefore, in this seminar, students aim to improve the ability to capture micro and macro at the same time. In addition, students aim to improve my problem-solving ability through practical training in which they actually measure and analyze what they feel strange.

Maintenance / promotion of health, disease prevention, health exercise, exercise therapy, complementary and alternative therapy

Laboratory introduction
In Japan, there are many health problems that must be solved, such as an increase in lifestyle-related disease patients and elderly people requiring nursing care, mental illness, and drug dependence, against the background of lifestyle-related changes, aging population, and excessive stress. Exercise has a positive effect on physical and mental health and is useful for maintaining and improving health and preventing and treating diseases, but there are many things that have not yet been clarified. Therefore, in this seminar, we conduct experiments targeting humans and animals (setting research objectives, planning experimental plans, measurement, data analysis, report / paper writing, presentations, disscussion etc.) on unexplained and unsolved problems and issues related to exercise. We aim to prove the usefulness of exercise for mind and body scientifically.

Predictive judgment in sports scenes: what do players see and feel?

Laboratory introduction
Focusing on the behavior prediction of the confrontation type competition scene, we clarify the prediction clues used by the first-class athletes (experts). This research can be expected to contribute to coaching and top performance research. For example, in a tennis coaching scene, if you can show the relationship between the opponent's movement and prediction, you can catch up with the ball as quickly as one second or one step, and you will be able to gain an advantage in the game. In order for Japanese athletes who are physically disadvantaged to take the lead in the world of sports, it is essential to gain an advantage in cognitive skills such as predictive judgment.

Laboratory introduction
In recent years, children's lack of interest in sports has become a problem. In this seminar, we will create video teaching materials to convey the mechanism and function of the body and the fun of sports to preschoolers, and plan and manage health education and sports events using the created videos. The field is a kindergarten / nursery school. What is the best way to express it to your child? What kind of teaching materials should I make to get them interested? Etc., based on the various knowledge I learned in university classes, I go to various places for interviews and think about the composition of videos and events from scratch. We also have time to interact with other seminars and learn from each other to expand our knowledge and horizons. We are waiting for people with a passionate heart who can do something hard for someone.

We research to clarify various spectator motives and behaviors.
In this seminar, we conduct research in collaboration with the J League. Students participate in surveys conducted at each club in the J.League. The survey results obtained are published as the J.League Spectator Survey Summary Report.
In addition to the J-League, We are also engaged in research activities in games such as the Japan national football team and the Japan national rugby team.
