Educational Purposes

The Faculty of Medical Technology aims to develop good human resources who can contribute to society by acquiring the specialized knowledge and skills, education and ethics necessary for members who are responsible for modern medical care, in accordance with School Philosophy of the founding of the university.

Three policies of the Faculty of Medical Technology

The Faculty of Medical Technology aims to develop human resources who have a high level of education and ethics and who can contribute to society as professionally skilled workers who can take charge of modern medical care. A degree will be awarded to those who have acquired the following abilities and have completed the prescribed credits.

  1. Have rich humanity and ethics, and can form human relationships by utilizing communication skills.
  2. Have the basic medical knowledge of each department and be able to practice the medical technology.
  3. Interested in the sophistication and internationalization of medical care and changes in social conditions, and have an awareness of lifelong learning.

In order to acquire the abilities required for the awarding of a degree, the Faculty of Medical Technology will organize the curriculum according to the following policy.

  1. The basic field organizes subjects aimed at acquiring abundant humanity, International perspectives and basic knowledge necessary for medical professionals.
  2. In the specialized basic fields, medical basic subjects in each field are organized for the purpose of acquiring basic medicine necessary for learning the basic knowledge and techniques of each department.
  3. Specialized fields organize subjects to learn the specialized knowledge and skills necessary as a member of modern medical care.

In order to contribute to the specialized medical care that is essential for modern Team Medical Care, the Faculty of Medical Technology trains good orthoptist, nurses, radiological technologist, clinical laboratory technician, emergency medical technician technicians, and judo therapist as well as a healthy society. We aim to develop excellent sports leaders, educators, and athletes in order to contribute to the promotion of health care.
We are looking for students who are physically and mentally healthy, who can adapt to four years of education including practical training, and who have basic academic ability through a wide range of studies in high school, etc., and who have the following qualities. ..

Three policies of the Department of Orthoptics

In accordance with the objectives of Faculty of Medical Technology, the Department of Orthoptics aims to train high-quality orthoptist, as part of Team Medical Care, can respond to the diversifying medical needs of the public and the advancement of medical technology.

Department of Orthoptics aims to train orthoptist have the correct knowledge and skills related to Ophthalmology, as well as scientific and logical thinking and rich humanity. A degree will be awarded to those who have acquired the following abilities and completed the required credits.

  1. Explain the basic knowledge of ethics, psychology, and medicine related to medical care.
  2. Explain basic knowledge about Ophthalmology.
  3. Have knowledge of Ophthalmology examinations and can practice examination techniques.
  4. Have basic knowledge of vision correction / orthoptics and low vision care, and can practice inspection techniques.
  5. Having the ability to contribute to a new society, those awarded can act independently as a member of Team Medical Care.

In order to acquire the abilities required for the awarding of a degree, the Department of Orthoptics organizes the curriculum according to the following policy.

  1. In the basic field, subjects will be arranged to improve the comprehensive basic medical abilities such as ethics, psychology, basic communication skills, foreign language acquisition, information, and life sciences.
  2. Ophthalmology In the basic specialized fields, "Optic Health Care," "Social Medicine," "Basic Medicine," "Clinical Medicine," "Optic Anatomy," "Optic Pathology," and "Optic Pharmacology" will be offered to study the basics of medical care. Neurophysiology Ophthalmology" to study the basics of visual function, strabismus, and eye movements, and "Visual Rehabilitation" to study the basics of prosthetic devices and social adaptation for people with low vision.
  3. In the specialized fields, "Visual Disorders" is offered to study Ophthalmology medical care, and "Basic Vision Correction", "Vision Examination", and "Vision Training" are offered to acquire theories and techniques of vision correction and training. In addition, "Life Design Exercises I-IV" are designed for students to think about their future, and "General Practice" and "Clinical Practice" are designed for students to deepen their awareness as medical professionals, practice examinations, and understand Team Medical Care in the field.

Three policies of the Department of Nursing

The Department of Nursing is a nurse full of humanity who can pursue the specialty of nursing, theoretically and scientifically practice it, in accordance with the purpose of the Faculty of Medical Technology, responding to the sophistication and internationalization of medical care and changing social conditions. 

Department of Nursing aims to develop humane nurses who can respond to the sophistication and globalization of medical care and the changing social situation, explore nursing expertise, and put it into practice theoretically and scientifically. A degree is awarded to those who have acquired the following abilities and completed the required credits.

  1. Get a comprehensive view of humans and outline their knowledge of health, quality of life and ethics.
  2. Can outline knowledge and skills related to nursing science.
  3. Based on scientific evidence, those awarded can comprehensively judge thier health needs and practice nursing.
  4. Can proactively work on cooperation, cooperation, and coordination with multiple occupations.
  5. Those awarded can have self-management abilities and self-improvement so that they can contribute to a new society.

In order to acquire the abilities required for conferring a degree, the Department of Nursing organizes the curriculum according to the following policy.

  1. In the basic field, the following subject groups will be organized in order to comprehensively understand human beings.
    I) Organize a group of human subjects to learn the ideal way of humans and society and basic communication skills.
    Ii) Organize a group of environmental subjects to learn the viewpoint of understanding the environment surrounding human beings and their interaction with the environment.
    Iii) Organize a group of foreign language courses to learn foreign languages and learn the perspectives of understanding different cultures.
  2. In the field of specialized basics, basic health and medical courses are organized in order to understand human health and living needs based on scientific evidence.
  3. In the field of specialization, we will organize courses to learn the specialized knowledge, skills, attitudes and ethical perspectives that are indispensable for nursing practice, as well as the ability to respond to changes in society with a view to career development and the development of nursing practice. ..

The Department of Radiological Technology aims to train radiological technologist who can contribute widely to society by acquiring noble ethical standards and humanity based on the technical ability for radiology in line with the purpose of the Faculty of Medical Technology.

  1. Have the basic knowledge necessary as a medical professional and have an awareness of contributing to the local and international communities.
  2. Have basic knowledge about radiation and can practice basic techniques.
  3. Have basic knowledge of radiodiagnosis and can practice medical techniques.
  4. Have basic knowledge of radiation therapy and can practice medical techniques.
  5. Have self-management skills, maintain coordination that leads to Team Medical Care, and practice the ability to respond to future role changes and technological advances.

In order to acquire the abilities required for the awarding of a degree, the Department of Radiological Technology organizes the curriculum according to the following policy.

  1. In the basic field, subjects such as "Human Communication" and "medical sociology" are offered to help students acquire the basic communication skills, logical thinking skills, and independent judgment abilities that are essential in medical care.
  2. In the specialized basics field, "Medical Fundamentals" is placed in order to learn the outline of the work of a radiologist through visits to hospitals and off-campus facilities, etc. In addition, science and engineering subjects such as "Radiation Physics" and "Radiochemistry" are placed in order to learn basic knowledge of radiology.
  3. In the field of specialization, the following subjects are organized as Practical learning Practical learning, technology, International perspectives, and social response.
    i) In order to acquire Practical learning specialized knowledge, the courses of "Medical Imaging Technology," "Nuclear Medicine Examination Technology," and "Radiation Therapy Technology" will be offered.
    ii) In order to acquire specialized knowledge and skills, courses such as "Medical Imaging Equipment Science," "Medical Imaging Informatics," "Radiation Management Science," and "Radiation Measurement Science" will be offered.
    iii) In order to deepen understanding of medical treatment and Team Medical Care, "imaging diagnostic technology training (clinical training)" and "nuclear medicine and radiation therapy training (clinical training)" will be arranged.
    ⅳ) "International Radiological Technology" will be offered to learn about ever-changing radiological technology and the role of radiological technologist from a global perspective. In addition, to respond to legal changes, acquire knowledge of other medical fields, and develop the ability to contribute to the improvement of radiological technology, subjects such as "Medical Safety Management" and "Medical Relations" will be offered.

Three policies of the Department of Clinical Laboratory Science

The Department of Clinical Laboratory Science of Clinical Laboratory has sufficient knowledge and skills and abundant humanity to be in charge of laboratory work such as clinical examination work, hygiene, pharmaceutical affairs, food work, etc., in accordance with the purpose of the Faculty of Medical Technology, and can work as a member of Team Medical Care. The purpose is to train clinical laboratory technician.

The Department of Clinical Laboratory Science of Clinical Laboratory aims to develop clinical laboratory technician who can work as members of Team Medical Care with sufficient knowledge and skills and abundant humanity who can be in charge of laboratory work such as hygiene, pharmaceutical affairs, food work, etc. .. A degree will be awarded to those who have acquired the following abilities and have completed the prescribed credits.

  1. Explain the basic knowledge of medicine, language, medical ethics, and sociology that are the basis of medical care.
  2. Explain the basic knowledge of the natural sciences that form the basis of clinical examinations.
  3. Be able to practice the inspection of biomaterials performed in clinical examinations, and explain the specialized knowledge and techniques for that purpose.
  4. Have the ability to practice physiological function test technology and explain the knowledge of medical engineering performed in clinical tests.
  5. Based on the knowledge of clinical examinations, it is possible to adapt to the field of Team Medical Care, and at the same time, it has the basic knowledge to contribute to society and can respond to future progress and changes.

In order to acquire the abilities required for the awarding of a degree, the Department of Clinical Laboratory Science will organize the curriculum according to the following policy.

  1. In the basic field, we will arrange subjects to acquire ethics and basic communication skills that are indispensable for medical care, as well as "chemistry", "life science", and "medical care" to learn natural science knowledge and basic science abilities. 
  2. In the field of specialized basics, in order to learn the basics of clinical examination, "structure and function of the human body", "physiology training", "pathology", "biochemistry", "introduction to medical engineering", "public health", "dementia" "Inspection", "clinical nutrition", etc. will be arranged.
  3. In specialized fields, "Introduction to clinical testing", "Pathological testing", "Practical training in pathological testing", "Blood testing", "Genetic / chromosome testing", "Biochemical testing", "Biological testing", "parasite testing", "immunological testing", etc., in order to learn physiological function testing techniques, "physiological testing", "physiological testing training", "testing equipment", Team Medical Care "Clinical laboratory comprehensive management", "medical safety management", "pathological analysis exercise", "clinical training", etc. will be arranged to acquire practical abilities.

Three Policies of Department of Sport and Medical Science

The Department of Department of Sport and Medical Science is an emergency medical technician, sports instructor / educator, top athlete, who has a deep understanding of life and health and has acquired basic medical knowledge and medical skills in line with the purpose of the Faculty of Medical Technology. The purpose is to develop human resources who can contribute to society in a wide range of fields.

The Department of Sport and Medical Science aims to develop emergency medical technician, sports instructors / educators, athletes, and human resources who can contribute to society through understanding sports / health, who have acquired basic medical knowledge and medical skills. A degree will be awarded to those who have acquired the abilities specified in each of the following three courses and have completed the prescribed credits.

・ Sports Health Course / Top Athlete Course
As experts in the fields of sports, medicine, health and physical education, we aim to develop talent that has a broad, international perspective, cultivates the ability to apply knowledge in any situation, and is able to provide instruction, education, practice and management with accurate situational judgment.

  1. Have basic knowledge of sports and medical care.
  2. Have expertise in sports instruction, education, competition and management.
  3. Have specialized skills in sports instruction, education, competition and management.
  4. Participate in sports instruction, education, competition, and management fairly and actively, and have the practical ability to demonstrate high expertise and respond appropriately to actions.

・ Emergency Medical Technician Course
As a specialist involved in emergency medical care from the field of pre-hospital rescue, a emergency medical technician who has sufficient knowledge and skills, a strong sense of mission and responsibility for saving lives, and a rich humanity, and can contribute to the local community as a member of Team Medical Care. 

  1. Have basic knowledge of ethics required emergency medical technician.
  2. Those who are motivated to contribute to the local community as a emergency medical technician.
  3. Have knowledge and skills in safety management that should be considered in pre-hospital relief activities.
  4. Have the cooperation and leadership as a team necessary for pre-hospital relief.
  5. Acquire basic knowledge and skills related to pre-hospital relief, and have the ability to continue to explore that specialty.

In order to acquire the abilities required for the awarding of a degree, the Department of Sport and Medical Science organizes the curriculum according to the policy set by each course.

・ Sports Health Course / Top Athlete Course

  1. In the basic field, subjects are prepared to learn the ability to acquire a wide range of education, explore universal principles, the ability to comprehensively judge various phenomena from multiple perspectives, the ability to take an international perspective, and the structure of the human body and its function.
  2. In the specialized basic field, subjects are prepared to learn the basic knowledge necessary for the specialized field / common specialized field, the subjects to learn medical knowledge / medical skills related to sports and health and knowledge / sports skills necessary for sports instructors / educators. 
  3. In the specialized and common specialized fields, there are courses that allow students to acquire the specialized knowledge and skills, as well as the ability to apply them, to achieve the educational objectives of the department, such as to become an athlete, athletic trainer, health and exercise instructor, health and physical education teacher, or school nurse.

・ Emergency Medical Technician Course

  1. In the basic field, we provide subjects for acquiring a wide range of education and learning the ability to explore universal principles, as well as subjects for acquiring ethics and basic communication skills essential for medical care.
  2. In the specialized basic field, basic medicine such as "anatomy," "physiology," "biochemistry," and "introduction to emergency medicine," as well as subjects for step-by-step acquisition of the basics of emergency medicine, are arranged.
  3. In specialized fields, we have courses for learning clinical medicine such as "Internal Medicine medicine" and "emergency symptomatology", as well as "specific theory of emergency life-saving treatment", "clinical training (simulation education)", and "training in an ambulance". , "Hospital practice" and other emergency lifesaving techniques are acquired, and courses are arranged for practical learning of the importance of Team Medical Care.

In line with the objectives of Faculty of Medical Technology, Department of Judo Therapy designed to train judo therapist, athletic trainers, junior and senior high school teachers who have demonstrated a deep understanding of life and health, and who have acquired basic medical-related knowledge and medical skills. The purpose is to develop human resources who can contribute widely to society in various fields.

The Department of Judo Therapy Therapy aims to train judo therapist who can deal with disorders such as fractures, dislocations, sprains, bruises, and contusions. A degree will be awarded to those who have acquired the following abilities and have completed the prescribed credits.

  1. Can describe the content of general clinical medicine.
  2. Explain the basic theory of locomotor injury.
  3. Able to practice basic treatments based on Judo therapy.
  4. We can contribute to improving the health of the people.
  5. Develop a predisposition to lifelong learning.

In order to acquire the abilities required for a degree, the Department of Judo Therapy will organize the curriculum according to the following policy.

  1. In the basic field, subjects to acquire ethics, basic communication ability, logical thinking ability and independent judgment ability, which are indispensable for medical care, and subjects to improve the comprehensive basic ability of medical care such as life science will be arranged.
  2. In the specialized basic field, subjects will be assigned to learn basic knowledge of basic medicine and judo rehabilitation and to develop the ability to solve problems from a broad standpoint.
  3. In the field of specialization, we will arrange subjects to learn evaluation methods, treatment methods and theories behind them for damage to motor organs such as bones, joints and muscles, and repair for disorders such as fractures, dislocations, sprains, bruise and contusions. , Fixed, post-therapy (procedure therapy, exercise therapy, physical therapy) and other subjects / practices to learn treatment techniques based on judo rehabilitation.
