Facilities and Equipment for the Department of Nursing

We have a training environment that allows to treat patients with various symptoms.

The Department of Nursing has fulfilling facilities and equipment to provide necessary treatment for patients of all ages, from children to the elderly. The tools and beds used are similar to those in the actual medical field, so students can put what they learned in class into practice.

Nursing Training room

Students can learn the technique more certainly in the training room that is built to resemble a room in an actual hospital ward.

Japanese-style room

Assuming home nursing for elderly people with illness or disability, students learn home care in a Japanese-style room with tatami mats, shoji screens, and bran.

Bathroom

Students learn about bathing assistance for the elderly using nursing care tools such as bath boards through practice.

Organ model

There are models of various parts such as the heart and lungs. Students can check the positions of bones and blood vessels and deepen their understanding of each organ.

Model doll linked with a computer

It is a doll that reproduces the cardiopulmonary function of a person, and displays the state of the heart in real time linked with computer. After training auscultation and blood measurement using this, students practice in the hospital ward training.

Incubator

It provides a good environment for the growth for premature babies such as low birth weight babies and newborn babies with respiratory disabilities. Students learn how to actually use it, such as operating an incubator.

Infant model doll

It is used for bathing instruction and practical training, and physical assessment. Model dolls for both men and women are available.

Elderly person simulated experience set

Students experience the physical condition of 80 years old using goggles, headphones, knee supporters, etc. Students can experience themselves what kind of support would make more comfortable life for patients.
