Facilities and Equipment Used by the Department of Clinical Laboratory Science

We have facilities for practically learn specialized knowledge and techniques

There are two types of clinical tests: biopsy, which is examined by operating a machine such as an ultrasonic diagnostic device or electrocardiograph, and test specimen, which is examined from blood, urine or cells. In both of these tests, accuracy and speed are required. In this department, you can take lectures from experienced professor, and surely acquire the knowledge and skills which are necessary for inspection by studying in a fulfilling environment.

Teikyo University Hospital

Teikyo University Hospital is one of the clinical training destinations. To draw blood is one of the important tasks for clinical laboratory technician. In the clinical training, not only you can master technic for drawing blood, but you can also take lectures about interact with patients from an active clinical laboratory technician.

Microscope training room

It is used for clinical cytology training and pathology training. One microscope is provided for each student.

Department of Clinical Laboratory Science training room

It is used for practices in clinical chemistry, hematology, immunology, microbiology, etc.

Ultrasound diagnostic device

It is used when examining the abdomen and thyroid. You can diagnose the inside of the body without using contrast medium and being affected by radiation.

Shield room

This equipment is used for preventing electromagnetic waves from the outside and the leakage of electromagnetic waves generated in the shield room. It is used not only for information leakage measures but also for various measurements.
