Educational Purposes

In accordance with the founding spirit of the university, the Faculty of Education provides historical, practical, and multifaceted knowledge and skills about basic theories of various sciences related to education and society, education and childcare at schools and nursery schools, and lifelong education in order to learn and deepen understanding and awareness of education widely. The purpose is to train human resources who have abundant humanity, accurately grasp the trends of the times, and contribute to the progress of society.

Three policies of the Faculty of Education

The Faculty of Education aims to develop human resources with knowledge and abilities regarding the theory and practice of education, based on the fact that education is the basis for fostering individuals and formants of nations and societies. A degree is awarded to those who have acquired the following abilities and have completed the prescribed credits.

  1. Students have an interest in issues related to education and society, and are willing to use the educational expertise and skills they have acquired in their major to understand and solve these issues.
  2. Have acquired the ability to form human relations and society necessary for the profession related to education and social life, and the sense of mission and responsibility.

In order to acquire the abilities required for degree conferment, Faculty of Education organizes the curriculum according to the following policies.

  1. In order to enable students to study various issues related to education and society from a broad perspective, specialized subjects are arranged to deepen their understanding of education, people, and children, including the compulsory subject "Introduction to Education I and II" in the first year. do.
  2. With a view to future occupations and acquisition of qualifications, compulsory and elective elective courses such as qualification course courses, clinical courses, and contemporary educational subjects are arranged for practical learning of knowledge and skills related to school education and lifelong learning. .
  3. In line with social advances such as internationalization and information technology, we offer practical specialized subjects that will enable students to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to play responsible roles in education, childcare, and other professional fields.
  4. In order to cultivate the foundation for continuing to learn proactively as an educator, member of society, or a professional, we offer exploratory learning, such as “Life Design Seminar I/II,” “Educational Research Literacy I/II,” and “Educational Studies.” Seminar I/II” and Graduation Research I/II are compulsory subjects.

In the Faculty of Education, we aim to integrate the theory of educational sciences with educational practice, and to foster a broad and rich culture and perspective, and specialized knowledge and skills. At the same time, we foster the "power to live" that is currently required from the field of education, and develop the education and research activities to foster "the attitude to continue learning during a whole life". We mainly aim to develop human resources who widely involves to education such as secondary education, primary education, kindergarten or nursery teachers license holders involved in preschool education, and lifelong education.
In high school, besides obtaining solid academic ability in studying subjects, you should actively participate in various activities and experiences inside and outside the school to foster a rich mind and sociality, and grow a healthy body. It is important to have a broad interest in various social events.

We seek new students with the following qualities and abilities through the above-mentioned studies at high schools.

Three policies of the Department of Education and Culture

In line with the purpose of the Faculty of Education, the Department of Education and Culture cultivates a theoretical awareness of education and society, a grounding in educational practice and lifelong learning at school, and based on them, practical and systematic content related to secondary education and lifelong learning. The purpose is to train human resources who contribute to the progress of secondary education and lifelong learning by deepening their understanding and practical recognition.

The Department of Education and Culture aims to develop human resources who are interested in the issues of modern society and can contribute to the development of society while going back and forth between theories and practices related to education. A degree is awarded to those who have acquired the following abilities and have completed the prescribed credits.

  1. Can be interested in contemporary issues surrounding education, society, and humans, and then explain and critically consider about them.
  2. Can learn the knowledge proactively in a wide range of fields related to education and explain it.
  3. Can learn the knowledge and skills related to the practice of education and develop educational activities in schools and other various places.
  4. In modern society, can coexist with others as a member of society and professionals, and demonstrate leadership in it.

In order to acquire the abilities required for degree conferment, Department of Education and Culture organizes the curriculum according to the following policies.

  1. From 3rd year onwards, we offer a “Lifelong Learning Course” and a “Secondary Education Course” in order for students to study independently with a view to their future careers and qualifications.
  2. ``Introduction to Pedagogy I & II'', which touch on the various fields that make up pedagogy, are arranged as compulsory subjects.
  3. Courses are arranged for acquiring qualifications related to school education and educational support, and practical acquisition of content and methods related to subjects and areas.
  4. In order to respond to the informatization and internationalization of society, we have arranged the necessary subjects to cultivate the qualities and abilities to accept diverse values and demonstrate leadership in the global society.
  5. "Life Design Seminar I/II," "Educational Research Literacy I/II," "Pedagogy Seminar I/II," and "Graduation Research I/II" are arranged as compulsory subjects, and students have logical thinking, problem-solving, and presentation skills. In addition to acquiring skills and attitudes to learn proactively and continuously throughout life.

Three policies of the Department of Elementary Education

In accordance with the purpose of the Faculty of Education, the Department of Elementary Education cultivates a theoretical awareness of education and society, and a grounding in educational practice and lifelong learning at school. And based on that, students practically and systematically learn contents related to primary education and childcare, and deepen their understanding and practical awareness. The purpose is to train human resources who contribute to the progress of primary education and childcare.

The Department of Elementary Education aims to develop human resources who can contribute to childcare and school education so that children who will view the society and create the next generation can grow affluently. A degree is awarded to those who have acquired the following abilities and have completed the prescribed credits.

  1. Have an Interest in contemporary issues related to education and able to explain from an academic point of view.
  2. Acquired basic knowledge and skills to understand and practice the goals of childcare and school education.
  3. Can deepen consideration of the significance of childcare and school education, and express it appropriately.
  4. Can continue proactive and interactive learning that connects theory and practice, and coordinate problem solving.

In order to acquire the abilities required for conferring a degree, Department of Elementary Education organizes the curriculum according to the following policies.

  1. In addition to acquiring the basic knowledge of teachers and nursery teachers, Department of Elementary Education has an "Elementary Education Course" and a "Preschool Education Course" so that students can efficiently take courses to develop "practical ability" and "ready to work".
  2. Beginning with the compulsory subject "Introduction to Pedagogy I and II", as well as elective compulsory subjects related to pedagogy and subjects related to contemporary education, students will develop a wide range of knowledge about education, society, and understanding of children.
  3. With a view to future occupations, we arrange subjects related to school education and childcare qualifications, and practically acquire the contents and methods of subjects and areas.
  4. In order to respond to the internationalization and informationization of society, we have arranged the necessary subjects, and cultivate the qualities and abilities to live in a global society, such as acquiring diverse values and multifaceted perspectives.
  5. At the same time, foster the attitude and attitude to learn independently and continuously as a teacher and nursery teacher.
