Educational Purposes

The Graduate School of Teacher Education, in accordance with School Philosophy, aims to train teacher who can clinically educate and research based on concrete facts, who has a broad perspective and can flexibly coordinate children and related parties, who has a counseling mind, and who can plan and practice creatively according to children, schools, and communities with a broad perspective.

Three policies of the Graduate School of Teacher Education

The Graduate School of Teacher Education, making use of the characteristics of the university, which has a School of Medicine school, aims to train unique practitioners who has high professional insight and practical competence in accord with cooperation between education and health care. The degree is awarded to those who have acquired the following abilities and have completed the prescribed credits.

  1. Has a specialized knowledge and high practical ability to deal with various educational issues.
  2. Has the power to practically verify the theory of education and to integrate the theory and practice.
  3. Those who can reconsiderer about educational issues in relation to medical care.
  4. Those who acquire a wide range of education and rich humanity, which are the prerequisites for educational practice.

In order to acquire the qualities and abilities required for the conferral of a degree, the Graduate School of Teacher Education organizes the curriculum according to the following policy :

  1. The acquisition of "advanced specialized knowledge and practical ability" is carried out in all of the common basic subject group, practical training subject group, and advanced specialized subject group.
  2. The acquisition of "the ability to integrate theory and practice" is carried out in the lessons of the practical training subjects.
  3. The acquisition of "the ability to reconsider education from the relationship with medical care" is centered on "areas related to cooperation between education and medical care" in the common basic subject group and "subjects related to education and medical care" in the advanced specialized subject group. It is also done through the study of lesson subjects and practical training subjects.
  4. The acquisition of "a wide range of education and abundant humanity, which are the prerequisites for educational practice," is carried out in all of the common basic subjects, practical training subjects, and advanced specialized subjects.

The Graduate School of Teacher Education profession combining theory and practice, and aims to train teaching profession practitioners with a high degree of specialization and practical leadership who can accurately respond to the diversified and complicated issues that are occurring at school.
Therefore, it is important for undergraduates to obtain a teacher's license for elementary school, junior high school, high school, special needs school, etc., and to carry out a wide range of studies related to teaching profession and subject education.
We are looking for new students with the following abilities and qualities through the above-mentioned studies at undergraduate schools.

  1. An in-service teacher who has abundant and wide-ranging educational practical skills backed up by experience, and has the abilities and qualities suitable for a core leader in a school and region.
  2. Working adults or prospective university graduates who are not currently in the teaching profession, and have basic educational practice and ability to respond to various educational issues.
  3. Those who have a high sense of mission, passion, and ability to act as teachers, and who are motivated to tackle various issues of children and school education theoretically and practically.
