The Faculty of Language Studies on the Hachioji Campus offers a Media Library Center which has a large collection of books, 1,805 reading seats, and PC stations. In 2015, a new school building on the Hachioji Campus was constructed for comfortable learning. We back up a comfortable and fruitful student life by providing abundant small classrooms and group study rooms that supports independent learning. In addition, there are various environments that support learning, such as online teaching materials that allow students to study at home and "Teikyo Language Commons."

MELIC is the academic information hub of Hachioji Campus. With a collection of over 850,000 books, PC stations for information searches and report writing, a university-wide reading promotion project called the "Co-Reading Library," and study support from senior students, it is a learning space where people and information come together and new ideas and knowledge are born.

Education using online teaching materials
Online English teaching materials are available for the purpose of developing the habit of self-study. A total of 6 types of teaching materials are always available, such as comprehensive teaching materials for introductory, beginner, and intermediate levels, as well as vocabulary strengthening, grammar practice, TOEIC® exercises, and purpose-specific teaching materials. In Spanish, we have introduced the online teaching material "AVE" provided by Instituto Cervantes in Spain and are actively using it as part of the evaluation. There is also an environment where students can use online teaching materials in Chinese.

It was founded on the Durham University campus in April 1990 in partnership with Teikyo University and Durham University, which is a prestigious British university founded in 1832. Branch students attend the class and live their daily lives in a lush green environment overlooking Durham Cathedral and Durham Castle, which are designated as World Heritage Sites.

Teikyo Language Commons

Teikyo Language Commons
Language Commons was opened in September 2016 as a comprehensive language learning support facility on the Hachioji Campus. This is where all the language learning support functions of the Hachioji campus are concentrated, not only for English but also for other languages. DVDs with English subtitles of foreign movies, dramas, and animations, ALC's e-learning system, reference books for qualification exams, etc. are abundantly prepared, and university faculty members and resident staff help in various ways to prepare for studying abroad related to language learning as needed. It is a space to hone your language as a tool by conversation practice with native speakers, one-off grammar courses, various language-related events are held, and in a fashionable and cozy atmosphere where you can eat and drink, from learning alone to tackling group tasks, cross-cultural exchange.

OUCHI COMMONS
This facility was opened on the Teikyo University Hachioji Campus in April 2021. There are public areas and refreshing space such as the Japanese learning space "SHOSAI", and meeting space, and self-study area "CHANOMA". In addition, it is the rich in diversity that the exhibition space is equipped with goods from overseas universities that concluded an agreement with our university, and also has an Center for Global Education, which is the administrative office in charge of accepting international students and studying abroad.

In addition, for students who are highly motivated to learn, we are giving consideration to further developing their abilities by providing content that goes one step advanced. The purpose is to provide detailed individual instruction understanding each student's progress, level, and weak points. We also accept career counseling such as finding employment.
