At the 54th South Korea Endoscopic Robotics Surgery Conference & 14th International Symposium on Endoscopic Robotics (KSERS 2024) held in Taejon (South Korea) on April 11-13, 2024, Okinaga Research Institute of Teikyo University Innovation Lab Assistant Professor Takuya Sueyoshi and the same institute Professor Maki Sugimoto presented their research results entitled "Development of Development of hologram-Enhanced Navigation system integrating metaverse-based spatial capturing of surgeons' hand m ovements and verbal instructions: Benefits in endoscopic robotic surgery Benefits in endoscopic robotic HPB & GI surgery" received a Travel Grant Award.
South Korea As one of the leaders in international standardization of endoscopic and robotic surgery at South Korea, the Endoscopic Robotics Surgery Society is an annual international symposium held in collaboration with international endoscopic Surgery societies around the world, including EAES, JSES, SAGES, ELSA and IFSES, to discuss the latest academic trends.
The award-winning presentation was given by the institute and Holoeyes Corporation for the development of a navigation system for endoscopic robotic surgery in the hepatobiliary-pancreatic region of the digestive organs. Surgery The system records the doctor's hand movements and verbal descriptions in metaverse space and synchronizes them with patient organ models, enabling the patient to relive them as holograms in a virtual space. The award was given in recognition of the research results of the institute and Holoeyes Inc. Sueyoshi, who made the presentation at Assistant Professor, said, "I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all parties involved in this research. Okinaga Research Institute of Teikyo University We are determined to further improve the quality of our research activities at Holoeyes," said Sueyoshi. We look forward to the future activities of Sueyoshi Assistant Professor and Sugimoto Professor.
