Educational Purposes

In line with the School Philosophy, the Graduate School of Health Sciences trains highly specialized professionals with specialized knowledge and practical skills to deal with advanced medical care, and is rich in creativity in local and global societies. The purpose is to train human resources who can become educators and researchers with excellent research and development abilities.

Three policies of the Graduate School of Health Sciences

The Graduate School of Health Sciences aims to train highly specialized professionals with specialized knowledge and practical skills that can handle advanced medical care, as well as educators and researchers with a broad perspective and international sense. 
A degree will be awarded to those who have acquired the following abilities and have completed the prescribed credits.

  1. Students have advanced specialized knowledge and skills that can handle advanced medical care, and can practice the technology.
  2. Students are able to accurately grasp, investigate and solve various complicated and diversified problems, and contribute to the development of medical care.
  3. With flexibility and high ethical standards that can respond to advances in medical technology and changes in global social conditions, students can strive to continuously acquire knowledge and skills.

The Graduate School of Health Sciences organizes the curriculum according to the following policy in order to acquire the abilities required for conferring a degree.

  1. The current situation and issues of community health care, community care systems that transcend occupations, and subjects for practicing the skills in a globalized society will be arranged.
  2. Courses are placed to develop into a practical organizational leader and an educator / researcher with the ability to adapt to advances in medical technology and changes in social conditions.
  3. Students will be assigned subjects to learn research methods, collect data on specific research themes through literature searches, surveys, experiments, etc., analyze and consider the results, and develop the ability to compile a dissertation.

The Graduate School of Health Sciences aims to train human resources who have advanced specialized knowledge and practical skills as leaders of Team Medical Care and advanced modern medical care, and who can independently promote education and research. In order to achieve the above , faculties require students to have acquired the basic knowledge and skills, as well as education and ethics to deal with advanced medical care in each field.
We are looking for new students with the following abilities and qualities through study at the undergraduate level.

  2. Students are willing to contribute to the development of local medical care through smooth communication.

Division of Radiological Sciences

In line with the objectives of Division of Radiological Sciences Graduate School of Health Sciences Science aims to develop human resources who can acquire advanced medical technology based on a wealth of knowledge and who can respond to social issues surrounding the medical environment.
Specifically, in the first half of the doctoral course (master's course) and the second half of the doctoral course, we will cultivate the following human resources.

In the Master's Program (Master's Program), in order to contribute to the development of medical care, students acquire the flexibility to deal with advanced and diversified technologies, as well as practical advanced specialized knowledge and skills, and broad perspectives and international sensibilities. The purpose of this course is to train highly specialized professionals who have acquired knowledge as researchers who can scientifically analyze phenomena related to medical Radiology.
In order to contribute to the development of clinical Radiology and the improvement of the quality of medical care, students in the doctoral course should possess creative and excellent research and development capabilities in the field of clinical Radiology, and have a broad perspective and international sense. The purpose of this course is to train educators and researchers who have advanced knowledge and skills in clinical Radiology and who can play a role as practical leaders in local communities and medical organizations.

Division of Radiological Sciences, with an advanced medical treatment based on rich scholarship, aims to cultivate highly specialized professionals who have acquired academic knowledge and possess the knowledge and humanity to respond to social issues surrounding the medical environment, and who can play a leading role in the Master's Program (Master's Program), and the Doctoral Program aims to cultivate education and researchers with a broad perspective and international outlook. Degrees are conferred on students who have acquired the following abilities and have completed the prescribed credits.

Master's degree program

  1. Students have advanced expertise in the field of medical Radiology and can play an active role in the medical field as a highly specialized professional.
  2. As a highly specialized professional, students have knowledge in a wide range of fields related to health care and can contribute to the development of medical care in local and global societies.
  3. With scientific analytical ability and background as a researcher, students can conduct research on medical Radiology.

Doctoral degree program

  1. Students have the ability to acquire the latest knowledge and scientific research methods in the field of medical Radiology, and to develop into an educator / researcher with an international sense who can independently carry out excellent and creative research / development.
  2. In the practical field of medical Radiology, students have both specialized knowledge based on research results and high practical ability, and can play an active role as a leader in the community and medical organizations.
  3. Students have knowledge and insight in a wide range of fields related to health care, and has advanced research and practical abilities.

In order to acquire the abilities required for the awarding of a degree, the Division of Radiological Sciences will organize the curriculum according to the following policy.

Master's degree program

  1. In addition to the area of specialization, subjects for acquiring knowledge in other fields in health science and acquiring presentation ability in English at domestic and overseas academic societies will be assigned to common subjects.
  2. Students acquire advanced specialized knowledge and practical skills in the field of medical Radiology, and after completion, subjects are placed for students to be active as highly specialized professionals in specialized subjects.
  3. In order to acquire basic research ability and presentation ability of research results in the field of medical Radiology, "special research" with thesis preparation will be arranged.

Doctoral degree program

  1. In addition to the area of specialization, the basic subjects will be assigned to understand the knowledge and issues of other fields in health science and their background, and to promote original research.
  2. Research results in the field of medical Radiology will be summarized in English papers, and subjects for acquiring the ability to submit to domestic and foreign academic journals will be assigned to basic subjects.
  3. Specialized subjects will be assigned to subjects that can acquire cutting-edge and advanced specialized knowledge in the field of medical Radiology.
  4. Students will conduct highly original research in the field of medical Radiology, and faculties arrange "special research" with the preparation of a dissertation.

Division of Nursing

The Department of Division of Nursing has a broad perspective and an international sense to contribute to the development of nursing, in line with the purpose of the Graduate School of Health Sciences. Students have acquired nursing science based on a wealth of academic knowledge, surrounding health, medical care, and welfare. The purpose is to train highly specialized professionals who can respond to health issues and community-based comprehensive care systems, and who have acquired the background as researchers who can scientifically analyze phenomena related to nursing practice.

In order to contribute to the development of nursing, studetns have acquired nursing practice based on knowledge and abundant academic knowledge in a wide range of fields related to health, medical care, and welfare, and responds to health issues surrounding the community and the comprehensive community care system. The purpose is to train highly specialized professionals who have acquired the background as a researcher who can scientifically analyze phenomena related to nursing practice. A degree will be awarded to those who have acquired the following abilities, completed the prescribed credits, and passed the thesis examination and examination.

  1. Students have advanced specialized knowledge and skills in the field of nursing, and can practice nursing in response to complicated and diversified nursing issues.
  2. Students have nursing management ability corresponding to the comprehensive community care system and can practice nursing.
  3. Having the ability to scientifically analyze phenomena related to nursing practice and the background as a researcher, students can contribute to the development of nursing practice through research on nursing practice.

In order to acquire the abilities required for conferring a degree, the Division of Nursing organizes the curriculum according to the following policy.

  1. In addition to the area of specialization, students will acquire knowledge in other fields of health science, and assign subjects focusing on the current state and issues of health, medical care, and welfare and multicultural understanding to common subjects.
  2. Courses for acquiring advanced specialized knowledge and skills in the field of nursing and scientific analysis ability will be assigned to specialized courses.
  3. In order to acquire basic research ability and presentation ability of research results in the field of nursing, "special research" with thesis writing will be arranged.
