We consider the safety of the usage environment such as the introduction of ebooks and the lower bookshelves.
Utsunomiya Campus Library has been changing from high shelves to low shelves to maintain a safe and bright indoor environment. Learning from the lessons of the damage to books caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake, the library is also promoting the introduction of e-books.
There is an office and reading room on the 1st floor of the library building, an AV room and reading room on the 2nd floor, and a reading room on the 3rd floor. In addition, in order to minimize damage in the event of an emergency, we have converted expensive books such as dictionaries and dictionaries into electronic books, which are equipped with facilities for viewing.
