On Tuesday, June 24, 2024, Teikyo University Faculty of Languages and Cultures Department of Foreign Languages Professor invited Mr. Ho Suk Yang, Counselor and Chief Education Officer, Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Japan, to give a special lecture on the 60th anniversary of the conclusion of the Japan-Korea Treaty at the cross-disciplinary seminar led by Tomohiro Hara.
On the day, he spoke about the current and future of Japan-Korea relations, using the friendly relations between the two countries that were established through the Korean envoys who traveled between Japan and South Korea during the Edo period as a starting point. During the Q&A session, he answered questions about his classes and the future of Japan-Korea relations, as well as questions about his work at South Korea Embassy, and we were able to learn about Mr. Yang's activities as a man at the forefront of Japan-Korea diplomacy.
Our university will continue to provide opportunities for students to deepen their international understanding.
