Itabashi Campusmedical faculty students participated in a workshop to learn communication skills

On Monday, February 19, 2024, students from our university's medical faculty participated in a workshop to learn communication skills held at the Clinical Auditorium on Teikyo University's Itabashi Campus.
This workshop was planned in collaboration with our university Itabashi Campus, Nippon Television Network Corporation, and Mynavi, Inc. as part of career education for students who are about to begin on-site training or job hunting.
On the day of the event, Nippon Television announcer Kazushi Kawabata explained the importance of communication skills through an explanatory video. In addition, participants worked in pairs to look at photos and communicate to the other person using only words. It was a place to think about communication anew through practical learning such as experiencing two patterns of conversation, one that affirms everything and the other that negates everything, and thinking about how it will be received.
Participating students said, ``It gave me an opportunity to reconsider my casual conversations,'' and ``I learned that I could use different ways of communicating, such as my facial expressions and listening posture, in addition to my previous methods of communication.'' I received my impressions about the workshop.
Our university will continue to cultivate human resources who can play an active role in an increasingly diverse society.
