Teikyo University Expands Global Academic Ties with Brawijaya University

In an exciting development, Teikyo University's Advanced Comprehensive Research Organization has sealed a new interdepartmental exchange agreement with the esteemed Graduate School of Brawijaya University in Indonesia. Founded in 1963, Brawijaya University stands as a national pillar of education, boasting a substantial student body of around 48,500, including approximately 5,800 graduate students across its 17 faculties. This collaboration builds on a history of successful joint ventures. Back in the autumn of 2019, with generous backing from the Indonesian government, both institutions embarked on groundbreaking joint research initiatives. Teikyo University welcomed doctoral students from Brawijaya University, who enriched their studies as research scholars at the Joint Program Center, a precursor to the current Advanced Comprehensive Research Organization.

Fast forward to September-October 2022, and Professor Toshihisa Ueda, a luminary at the Advanced Comprehensive Research Organization, conducted an insightful online lecture on the pivotal subjects of energy and environment for doctoral students at Brawijaya University's Graduate School. Looking ahead, this promising partnership is set to open new avenues for researchers and students from both institutions. The focus? Pioneering research in the dynamic realm of energy and environment, with a particular emphasis on harnessing renewable resources in the Indonesian archipelago and remote areas where traditional grid power is not readily available.

This endeavor stands as a testament to Teikyo University's unwavering commitment to fostering global academic collaboration and driving innovation in vital fields that impact us all. The future looks bright as these two distinguished institutions join hands for the betterment of our shared global community.
