Itabashi CampusJubilant Performance by Teikyo University Itabashi Symphony Orchestra in Celebration of Graduates

In a heartwarming gesture of celebration, the Teikyo University Itabashi Symphony Orchestra held a special performance for graduating students at the 2nd-floor entrance of the Itabashi Campus on Friday, March 17, 2023. Established in April 2019, the orchestra faced challenges in its activities due to the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Scheduled performances were canceled or held without an audience, making it a trying period for the ensemble. However, aligning with the joyous occasion of the 2022 graduation ceremony, the orchestra seized the opportunity to perform for the graduates. The program featured a selection of compositions, including "Bell of Civilization" by Hiroki Takahashi, the Teikyo University Anthem in an orchestral arrangement, "Come, Spring" composed by Yumi Matsutoya, and the grandeur of Edward Elgar's "Pomp and Circumstance." As the melodies filled the air, the entrance was graced with the presence of faculty members and students who paused to listen intently, creating a moment of unity and reflection. The Teikyo University Itabashi Symphony Orchestra, cherished as a vital part of the university's musical fabric, vows to continue its dedicated efforts. The ensemble's mission is to further embed itself in the hearts of the Teikyo community. Warm encouragement and support from all are deeply appreciated as we journey forward together.
