Utsunomiya CampusTochigi Prefectural Oyamanishi High School and Agreement Signing Ceremony for High School-University Collaboration

On Friday, November 25, 2022, an agreement signing ceremony was held with Tochigi Prefectural Oyamanishi High School on the Utsunomiya Campus of Teikyo University. Agreements are concluded to deepen mutual exchanges, promote educational activities, and revitalize university and high school education.

On that day, Mr. Hiromichi Sato, Principal of Tochigi Prefectural Oyamanishi High School, and Masayuki Arai, Dean of Faculty of Science and Engineering and Technology Department, Teikyo University, each signed and affixed their official seals to the agreement. After exchanging the agreement, Principal Sato commented, "There are many students who want to go on to local universities, so I would like to respond to that." We would like to continue to support them.” Utsunomiya Campus will be the fifth high school and university partner school following Tochigi Prefectural Utsunomiya Seiryo High School, Tochigi Prefectural Motegi High School, Tochigi Prefectural Utsunomiya Commercial High School, and Tochigi Prefectural Utsunomiya Kita High School.

The content of the collaboration is as follows.

  1. Dispatching Senior Assistant Professor from universities to high schools
  2. High school to university facility tours and facility use
  3. High school students visiting university classes
  4. Exchange of information and interaction among faculty members regarding educational and research activities at both universities and high schools
  5. Other projects that have been discussed and agreed upon by both the university and high school
