Hachioji CampusGraduate School of Teacher Education The Graduate School students and teachers conducted emergency medical training

On Wednesday, May 11, 2022, 18 students and 9 faculty members from the Graduate School of Teacher Education of Education, Teikyo Graduate School conducted life-saving emergency training at the Simulation Education and Research Center of the University.
Under the guidance of the center staff, Ichiro Kaneko, a Professor of the School of Medicine Emergency Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, learned about cardiopulmonary resuscitation, how to use AED, team resuscitation, and the use of EpiPen. By setting criteria for cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques and the use of AEDs and setting solid goals, we were able to obtain an accurate procedure.
After that, we held group discussions on the theme of the critical care center system in schools, assuming various situations in the field of education, and deepened our understanding.

This training is positioned as a lesson exercise for "school life and child health / illness" that the university has set independently in the common basic subjects. Based on the situation of Korona-ka, the training was conducted while taking measures such as checking the health of the participants, wearing masks during the training, and reducing the number of groups, but the situation requiring critical care is Korona-ka. However, it can happen, so I think it is of great significance to be able to practice even in such a situation.
