Hachioji CampusThe Dormitory for international students, "T-House" in Hachioji Otsuka is finished ready to open.

On Tuesday, March 1st, 2022, we held a tour of the completion of the international student dormitory in Hachioji Otsuka "T-House," which was built for students at Teikyo University Hachioji Campus. This dormitory has opened to further expand the acceptance of foreign students. The Faculty of Language Studies Department of Global Japanese Studies is started in April 2022, and the dormitory can accommodate many international students. Teikyo University hopes students to deepen mutual understanding through cross-cultural exchange in the dormitory, and develop individuals who can play an active role in the international society.

Chairman and President OKINAGA Yoshihito, academic advisor Isao Hirota, Global Initiative Office Atsushi Nishioka, CEO of Kyoritsu Maintenance Co.Ltd. (a dormitory construction company),Mr. Koji Nakamura, and other staffss went around each floor to image how international students will live. There are 121 rooms equipped with furniture and Wi-Fi , and public spaces such as a lounge and a kitchen with bright light. It takes only 6 minutes to the Hachioji Campus by walk, and there is also a supermarket nearby this dormitory, so it is a comfortable environment for students to live here. Also students (resident assistants) who support a life for international students live here. Teikyo University aims to improve communication skills and understand diverse cultural backgrounds through cross-cultural exchange and various activities, and to develop individuals who can play an active role internationally.

We hope that T-House will be a place where international students and Japanese students interact with each other even if it's been under the pandemic. Please check the following websites and videos.
