To everyone aiming for Teikyo University,
I would like to talk about the education we aim for.
This is Educational Guidelines: Practical learningInternational perspectivesOpen mindedness
It is expressed in three words:
International perspectives
To the people and culture of the world

First, let me talk about "International perspectives," which I think many people will be interested in.
Since ancient times, Japan has developed and created its own unique culture, products, and services through exchanges with other countries. Internationalization is, so to speak, Japan's destiny.
However, now that we have entered a fully-fledged global society, we need to be able to objectively determine the path we should take, rather than simply following the trend of internationalization.
To achieve this, we believe it is essential to have opportunities to directly interact with people and cultures from other countries and to develop a true "International perspectives."
This idea is reflected in the "GLOBAL CAMPUS PROGRAM," which began with the 2017 enrollment and allows all students enrolled Faculty of Languages and Cultures to study abroad. Furthermore, the network that was established in the 1990s by establishing our own campuses overseas has now expanded to 80 universities and research institutions. Through exchange programs and research exchanges, we are actively engaging in "live exchanges" that go beyond mere systems.

Next, let's talk about Practical learning.
When you enter society, you will be exposed to a variety of environments. In order to cope with these, you will need the ability to identify the knowledge and skills you need to acquire and put them into practice. The word that expresses this is "Practical learning."
In addition to acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in society, students are also expected to put them to good use. They are also expected to think logically and communicate their ideas. Or, they are expected to acquire new knowledge and skills based on the knowledge and skills they have already acquired. This is the "Practical learning" offered by Teikyo University.
And "Open mindedness."
It goes without saying that it is important to have your own perspective, but it is equally important to learn about other people's ways of thinking and perspectives outside your own academic field.
By adding other axes to your own, you can learn more deeply about the essence of things and develop the ability to pursue them. Teikyo University places great importance on this idea, which it calls "Open mindedness."
This is evident from the fact that since its founding, the school has offered an "Open mindedness" learning environment by inviting not only researchers and educators, but also people from business and government agencies as faculty members.

While completing the program curriculum, the ability to acquire expertise, determine how to utilize it in society and move forward, and acquire different expertise based on what was learned at university to change society You will be able to cultivate the ability to respond to.
Human resources with such power are none other than the “One’s way” that we advocate in our Educational Philosophy, that is, human resources who stand on their own and control themselves.
In addition, many distinctive researches have been conducted in the research field, and the results have been widely returned to the educational activities within the university and to the world.
By spending time in such an environment, you should be able to develop into human resources who find it interesting to work on new things and accumulate quests, and to find value in applying what they have learned to society.
