It was launched in 2013 to build and promote quality medical education. Medical education needs to change with the times. In 2019, a new system was established to formulate the mission and educational objectives of the School of Medicine to discuss matters related to study support, and ensure smooth execution.
Ninety-five percent of professors belong to CMET. We conducted a survey for them, and as a result of a it, "after belonging to CMET, "increased interest in general medical education in Japan and overseas" and "s increased communication with students". Many respondents answered that it is desirable to have a period of deep involvement in medical education. It is great to have many faculty members who are passionate about medical education. CMET supports students in the School of Medicine not only from admission to graduation, but also to their careers as postgraduate doctors or researchers.
If you are a student or faculty member who is interested in education, please let us know. Let's think about medical education together.

Overview of the center

CMET is a specialized department of medical education that supports the overall education of the School of Medicine in cooperation with the director of the School of Medicine, the academic affairs committee, and the student committee. In line with the School Philosophy of our university, we will acquire the specialized knowledge, skills, and attitudes that are commonly required in various fields of future medicine and medical science, and acquire a comprehensive perspective, judgment, and humanity in medicine. We also train researchers and instructors in education and research, educational practice, educational support, educational reform, and medical education to develop "good doctors" who can respond to the progress of related sciences and changes in social conditions.
The Medical Education Center Steering Committee is an organization for the smooth operation for CMET. It includes discussions about learning support, clinical training, OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination), and FD (School of Medicine Development: Education for university teachers) and other matters related to study support, reports to the School of Medicine Education-related Steering Committee, and the self-assessment and evaluaton of the contents of the implementation.
CMET monitors and evaluates educational programs, develops educational programs based on feedback from professors and students, and also conducts practical and supportive educations. As a medical education expert, we also develop and verify educational and evaluation techniques. Professors in charge of primary care education in community medicine training are also clinical Professor and clinical Associate Professor who participate in CMET's educational activities.
