Activities that convey the appeal of the company at a company that is attracted to its philosophy.

During my four years as a university student, I was involved in activities to convey the appeal of Teikyo University to high school students as a student public relations staff member, and I was able to come up with ideas from the perspective of a student.
Typical examples are the creation of the mascot character "Teebo" on the Hachioji Campus and the introduction of "Hachioji ramen", a local gourmet in Hachioji city, into the school cafeteria menu. ..
It was necessary to contact a large number of people to get their approval in order to realize the idea, and although it was not only fun but also difficult, I wanted many people to know the charm of the university I attend. The desire was the driving force. I feel that my experience of trial and error and my refined presentation skills during my school days are being utilized in my current job.

I aspired to Panasonic because I was attracted to the idea of the founder (the late Konosuke Matsushita), "Make people before making things." I fell in love with the attitude of emphasizing the development of people, read books, and had the image of a company that makes cutting-edge products that are closely related to daily life. Since I was active as a public relations staff when I was a student, I wanted to be involved in public relations activities even after I got a job, but I thought that Panasonic was the only company that could sympathize with the philosophy and promote cutting-edge products.

After joining the company for 5 years, I experienced sales for corporations, and since April 2020, I have been disseminating information about my company through communication with the media as a public relations officer.
The information I send out is sometimes reported extensively in newspapers and television, so I am working on my daily work while feeling great satisfaction and responsibility.
We will continue to strive to further spread the appeal of Panasonic, which continues to produce cutting-edge products.

There are many people like teachers who can be respected.

There are many employees like teachers who are gentle and sometimes strict. Since we are a company that emphasizes raising people, the attitude of listening to people is widespread. The stories of seniors with a wealth of life experience are very educational and for me it is a place where I can learn a lot like a school above a university or Graduate School school.

The management philosophy has permeated and employees are facing the same direction.

The management philosophy that the founder, Konosuke Matsushita, has conveyed is firmly ingrained in our employees. I feel that all employees are always thinking and practicing "how to help society." I think that it is because everyone's vectors match that an environment where they can communicate smoothly and cooperate with each other even if they carry out business in a wide range of fields is fostered.

"Human washing machine" exhibited at the 1970 Osaka Expo. It was crowded with many visitors.

Alumni Now Vol.3 Panasonic Question 2
A person who can listen to customers and determine what they really need.

I think that people who can listen to customers' stories are playing an active role. Some of our products are very expensive, so you can't trust a proposal that imposes your own convenience. I think it is important to identify what you really need from the customer's story and then make proposals and follow-up.

Not only information transmission but also function as "public hearing" is important.

The job of public relations is not only to disseminate information, but also to function as a "public hearing". What is the view of the media reporting our information and what are consumers looking for in us? We will utilize the awareness gained from such outside voices in management. I think that "listening ability" is very important, and I feel that it is a background that people who are active have.

Load the company homepage and press releases.

If you find a company that interests you, it is recommended that you first read the website and the press releases so far. I strongly feel that I am in a position to disseminate information, but I think that the homepage and press releases are very useful for corporate research because they are condensed contents of the company's philosophy, characteristics, and what I want to convey to the world. ..

A wide range of industry and company research is important, including fields that you are not familiar with.

I think it's a good idea to do a wide range of industry and company research, including fields that you are not interested in or are not familiar with. By interacting with a lot of people and information, you will notice new discoveries such as noticing the difference from the image you have. Also, it may be difficult, but I would like you to think about the future, such as 10 years from now.
