We support you to build a self-learning attitude in terms of both equipment and operation.
The Faculty of Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences has created an environment where each student can use ICT equipment and study independently. We also provide detailed learning support in terms of both facilities and operations, such as by providing various information for students' studies and establishing Research Center for Pharmaceutical Education, which provides individual study consultations.
Education utilizing ICT
ICT equipment was introduced and used in classes from 2012. Since 2012, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences has been providing an environment for independent learning through the "Learning Support System (iPads were used for students enrolled until 2018, but from 2019 onwards, it is compatible with various ICT devices such as PCs, iPads and smartphones)." For example, printed materials used in class are digitized and linked to the syllabus and distributed online. These materials can be printed out by students themselves, or viewed and managed using ICT devices.
Achieve your goals with self-learning apps Students can use ICT devices to answer questions in the same format as the Pharmaceutical Common Examination CBT and check the answers and explanations. Available from 1st year, students can check their academic ability according to their current grade level while understanding their goals for six years from now. Furthermore, questions within the application can be extracted by keyword or lecture subject name, and are designed to avoid simple memorization, ensuring that acquired knowledge is firmly established.
Learning support system
learning support
Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences provides academic support primarily through the Learning Support Committee and the Pharmaceutical Education Promotion Center (Learning Promotion Unit and Student Attendance Support Unit). For lower-year students, we provide instruction in rational and effective study methods for Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences students, assistance with creating study plans, and opportunities for supplementary practice in subjects where students lack academic ability, thereby improving their basic academic abilities and promoting self-directed learning. For upper-year students, we offer a variety of initiatives to improve students' overall academic abilities, including providing CBT-style questions for the Pharmaceutical Common Test and the National Pharmacist Examination, created by faculty members of the Faculty of Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and planning supplementary lectures. Furthermore, the Pharmaceutical Education Promotion Center's Learning Promotion Unit (7th floor, Main University Building) and Student Attendance Support Unit (1st floor, Building 2) have set up study consultation spaces where students can request study consultations.
Life support We have established a homeroom teacher system in which a full-time faculty member of Senior Assistant Professor level or higher provides individual support for each student in the small number of students. Students in grades 1 to 3 are supported by their homeroom teacher, and students in grades 4 to 6 are supported by the faculty member of their assigned laboratory. . In addition, we provide detailed support tailored to the needs of each student by receiving consultations at the Student Support Office of the Center for Medical Education and Research (university building main building basement 1st floor).
Future outlook
We intend further reinforcement for the learning environment and support system, such as video distribution of lectures and Pharmaceutical English apps. In the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, in order to cultivate students' self-improvement ability and learning attitude, we intend further enhancement for the learning environment and support system without being satisfied with the current situation.
