Educational Purposes

In accordance with the School Philosophy, the Faculty of Law acquires basic knowledge about law and politics through the Educational Guidelines of "Practical learning," "International perspectives" and "Open mindedness" as well as well-balanced judgment and logical thinking. The purpose is to train human resources with flexible creativity that is not bound by the existing academic fields.

Three policies of the Faculty of Law 

The Faculty of Law aims to acquire basic knowledge about law and politics, and to train human resources with well-balanced judgment and logical thinking. A degree will be awarded to those who have acquired the following abilities and have completed the prescribed credits.

  1. Has basic knowledge of law and politics, and can grasp the issues of various problems in modern society.
  2. Applying basic knowledge about law and politics, students can express own way of thinking .

In order to acquire the skills required for the award of a degree, Faculty of Law organizes its curriculum according to the following policies:

  1. In order to acquire writing, logical thinking, and discussion ability, 1st year "Life Design Exercise I / II", 2nd year "Basic Liberal Arts Exercise I / II" and 3rd・ 4th year "Exercise I-IV" is compulsory.
  2. In order to acquire International perspectives and a broad and rich education, students are required to acquire 30 credits in general education subjects, including one compulsory class per week in English in the first and 2nd year 1st year Life Design Seminar I and II, both of which are compulsory in the first year.
  3. For specialized subjects, a course system will be introduced, compulsory subjects will be set up for 1st year students, and a group of compulsory courses for specialized elective courses will be set up.

Learning about law and politics is "to accurately grasp the problems of the highly complicated modern society and use logical thinking to find future guidelines". Therefore, wide perspective and knowledge is required. Therefore, it is extremely important to study a wide range of basic subjects in high schools.

We are looking for new students who have the following abilities and qualities through the above-mentioned studies in high schools.

  1. Have a high interest in society and a desire to study, and can accurately express and convey own thoughts.
  2. Have the academic ability necessary for studying after enrollment, and be able to consider things in a multifaceted and logical manner with a broad perspective.
  3. Have a desire to engage with others different from yourself and actively communicate with them.

Three policies of the Department of Law

The purpose of the Department of Law is to train people with the ability to find solutions and negotiate to problems that emerge in the state and society, problems that arise over corporate activities and legal issues that are closely related to everyday life. 

The Department of Law aims to acquire basic knowledge about law and to train human resources who can come up with appropriate solutions to legal disputes. A degree will be awarded to those who have acquired the following abilities and have completed the prescribed credits.

  1. It is possible to grasp and analyze the causes of problems occurring in regions, companies, nations, etc. from a legal point of view.
  2. It is possible to find guidelines for solving problems that are occurring in regions, companies, nations, etc. from a legal point of view.
  3. Understand the problems of conflict that are occurring worldwide based on a wide range of education.

In order to acquire the skills required for the award of a degree, Department of Law organizes its curriculum according to the following policies:

  1. "Judiciary Course", "Business Legal Course", "Modern Society and Law Course" is established in the Department of Law so that students can acquire basic vocational knowledge and take courses more efficiently in their desired fields. 
  2. "Life Design Exercises I / II" in the 1st year, "Basic Liberal Arts Exercises I / II" in the 2nd year ,"Practice I-IV" in the 3rd・4th years is compulsory. These course consists of small group in order to enable students to acquire writing, logical thinking and discussion skills in a step-by-step manner.  
  3. In order to acquire International perspectives and a broad and rich education, students are required to obtain 30 credits in general education subjects, including one compulsory English class per week in the first and 2nd year 1st year and Life Design Seminar I and II, both of which are compulsory in the first year.
  4. As for specialized subjects, there are three common courses for 1st year students: "Constitution I / II", "Civil Law General I / II", and "Criminal Law General I / II" in order to acquire basic legal knowledge. It is compulsory to take the course. In addition, special elective compulsory courses for each course will be set up mainly for 2nd and 3rd year students so that students can play an active role in their desired fields. In other words, as a specialized elective compulsory subject, the "Judiciary Course" requires students to take 20 credits or more in 5 subjects throughout the year, and the "Business Legal Course" and "Modern Society and Law Course" are basically required to take 12 credits or more in the same 3 subjects. .. For specialized elective courses, a "department recommended model" is shown for each course in order to encourage students to take courses as a department.

Three policies of the Department of Political Science

The purpose of the Department of Political Science is to train those who have the power to solve regional issues such as the welfare and security of residents, global peace and security, national and regional policy, and communication in line with the purpose of the Faculty of Law.

The Department of Political Science aims to acquire basic knowledge about politics and to train human resources with well-balanced judgment and logical thinking in order to acquire the ability to solve problems set forth for educational purposes. ing. A degree will be awarded to those who have acquired the following abilities and have completed the prescribed credits.

  1. Understand the political system and the mechanism of society, and understand the issues of various problems in modern society.
  2. In addition to the basic knowledge of political science, students can understand the contents of related academic fields and make logical examinations of various problems in modern society.
  3. Students can use their knowledge of political science and related fields to express their own way of thinking about the problems of modern society.

In order to acquire the skills required for the award of a degree, the Department of Department of Political Science organizes its curriculum according to the following policies:

  1. "Public Policy Course" and "Political Course" will be set up in the Department of Political Science so that students can acquire basic vocational knowledge and can take courses more efficiently in their desired fields.
  2. 1st year "Life Design Exercises I and II" and 2nd year "Basic Liberal Arts Exercises I and II" consisting of small groups to gradually acquire writing skills, logical thinking skills and discussion skills. , And "Exercise I-IV" in the 3rd and 4th year years are compulsory.
  3. In order to acquire International perspectives and a broad and rich education, students are required to acquire 30 credits in general education subjects, including one compulsory class per week in English in the first and 2nd year 1st year Life Design Seminar I and II, both of which are compulsory in the first year.
  4. In order to provide educational content that takes into consideration a wide range of political science and related fields, all courses require 1st year students to take "Constitution I, II," "Political Science Fundamentals I, II," and "Public Policy I, II," as well as elective compulsory subjects, primarily for first- and 2nd year students, with the basic rule being that students must take a total of 12 credits or more from these. In addition, there are many specialized elective subjects, including those in various fields of political science. For elective subjects, "recommended subjects" are indicated for each course.
