The NITS Teikyo University Center opening ceremony was held atHachioji Campus

On Monday, August 24, 2026, the opening ceremony for the NITS (National Institute for School Teachers and Staff Development) Teikyo University Center was held at the Teikyo University Hachioji Campus.

This year, our Graduate Graduate School of Teacher Education was selected for the Regional Center Program of the National Institute for School Teachers and Staff Development (NITS). Following this selection, we held this opening ceremony to announce that the public programs hosted by our Graduate Graduate School of Teacher Education Education will be implemented as part of the "NITS Teikyo University Center" program for the next two years. The NITS Regional Center Program involves collaboration between universities and local education boards to support the learning of teachers and staff in the region. By leveraging the university's specialized knowledge, educational practices, and research achievements, and by implementing training programs tailored to the needs and characteristics of the region, the program aims to enhance and systematize teacher training.

At the opening ceremony, President Yoshihito Okinaga of our university gave the opening remarks on behalf of the university. Following this, greetings were given by Chairman the National Institute for School Teachers and Staff Development (NITS), and Mr. Takashi Shiraishi, Superintendent of Education for the Hino City Board of Education. Representatives from the Tokyo Metropolitan Teachers' Training Center and the Tama City Board of Education also participated.

The NITS Teikyo University Center will continue to share its daily educational practices and research findings with educators, and will hold lectures and forums aimed at sharing practices and challenges in schools, with the goal of improving the skills of teachers and staff.
Our university will continue to provide training opportunities to support the learning of teachers in the surrounding area, contributing to the development of teachers who will lead the next generation and the advancement of school education in the region.
