The Sports Medicine and Science Center held its second Sports Nutrition Seminar for Student Athletes and Staff atHachioji Campus

On Tuesday, July 14, 2026, the second sports nutrition seminar for student athletes and staff of the 2026 academic year was held at Teikyo University's Hachioji Campus, led by Yuki Tanabe, a registered dietitian at the university's Sports Medicine and Science Center.

This time, the seminar focused on "Making a Difference in Performance! Heatstroke Prevention and Hydration to Beat the Heat," and included concrete examples of how heat affects the body, key points for hydration, and how to regulate body temperature during training and matches in extreme heat, as well as the role of water in the body and its impact on performance. In addition, methods for cooling the body other than hydration and dietary tips specific to summer were introduced, and it was very impressive to see the participating students taking the seminar with such interest.

The Sports Medicine and Science Center will continue to share the knowledge gained through its daily activities and research with students and the local community.
