On Monday, June 22, 2026, the 4th Teikyo University Athletic Club Academic Awards Ceremony was held at the Teikyo University Itabashi Campus.
This award aims to foster an emphasis on balancing academics and extracurricular activities by recognizing athletic clubs that have achieved outstanding results in their studies, which is the primary responsibility of students, thereby enhancing the value of sports at our university. It also aims to recognize the efforts of individual students who embody the ideal of excelling in both academics and athletics, thereby contributing to the improvement of the overall academic performance of athletic clubs at our university. In this fourth annual awards ceremony, seven clubs and three individuals received awards.
On the day of the awards ceremony, the university's Chairman the Board and President, Yoshihito Okinaga, presented certificates to the representatives of each club and offered words of encouragement, saying, "To all the groups and individuals who have received the Academic Award today, I offer my heartfelt congratulations. This award recognizes students who have practiced both academic and athletic excellence and achieved outstanding results in both academics and extracurricular activities. The award recipients have honed their own skills and worked hard in cooperation with their peers, serving as role models that embody School Philosophy of our university and the philosophy of 'doing things “One’s way”.' We hope that you will continue to grow even further, make full use of the skills you have cultivated at the university, and become active members of society. Congratulations!"
Finally, Kazuki Imamura (3rd year, Faculty of Medical Technology), a member of Itabashi Campus Swimming Club, gave a speech on behalf of the award recipients, saying, "Thank you very much for this prestigious award. I believe that I was able to receive this award thanks to the support Chairman and President Yoshihito Okinaga, as well as the guidance of my teachers and everyone around me. I will use this award as encouragement to dedicate myself even more to my studies and to my club activities. Thank you very much." We look forward to the continued success of all the award recipients.
