On Saturday, June 13, 2026, Teikyo University held the "Teikyo University x Borussia Dortmund Soccer Clinic 1-Day Training Camp" at its Hachioji Campus, targeting 5th and 6th graders from Hachioji, Hino, and Tama cities. This event was held as part of the "TEIKYO Multi-Sport Carnival," which provides opportunities to experience and enjoy sports.
Our university and Borussia Dortmund (BVB) signed an academic research partnership agreement in June 2018, and this project was held for the fourth time. Sixty elementary school students participated in the event, and German coaches from BVB and DSA (Dortmund Soccer Academy) provided direct instruction, resulting in a soccer clinic that faithfully reflected the BVB training method. Participants commented, "I learned the importance of thinking while playing," and "It was not only fun, but the sometimes strict instruction made me want to become a better soccer player," making it a fulfilling day for everyone. In addition, students from Associate Professor Masaaki Aoki's seminar in the Department of Department of Business Administration Faculty of Economics, also participated as volunteer staff, supporting the smooth operation of the event by assisting during training and preparing equipment.
Through this academic and research partnership with Borussia Dortmund (BVB), our university will continue to further enhance its education, research, and social contribution activities, centered on Practical learning, International perspectives, and Open mindedness.
Students from our university participated in an overseas sports management training program hosted by Borussia Dortmund (BVB).
