Students from our university participated in an overseas sports management training program hosted by Borussia Dortmund (BVB) atHachioji Campus

From February 10th (Tuesday) to 20th (Friday), 2026, Teikyo University, in collaboration with Borussia Dortmund (BVB), with whom it has an academic research partnership agreement, conducted a 10-day overseas sports management training program in Europe for 21 students from the university.

This training program was held at Signal Iduna Park, BVB's home stadium, and included lectures on BVB's brand strategy, social media strategy, and other topics, as well as a stadium tour and a visit to the youth development facilities.
In the student-led fieldwork, students followed plans developed after pre-training, visiting various facilities and conducting street interviews, engaging in exchanges with local German citizens. They also attended a lecture on sports promotion by the Duisburg City Sports Association, visited the home stadiums of Sint-Truiden in Belgium and MVV Maastricht in the Netherlands, and learned about their club strategies.

Students who participated commented, "I wanted to participate in this training even before entering Teikyo University. I was able to experience the knowledge I had learned in a real-world setting," and "This training was a wonderful experience not only in sports management but also in life." Moving forward, we will organize what was learned in this training and conduct follow-up training. Teikyo University will continue to create opportunities to learn about sports business through practical experience.
