On Thursday, May 14, 2026, the first introductory guidance session for civil servants was held at Teikyo University's Hachioji Campus, organized by Office of Student Support Career Support Center.
This guidance session featured Mr. Taku Matsuno of Ohara Gakuen, who is the Senior Assistant Professor for "Public Service General Knowledge I & II" at Hachioji Campus. He explained the types of civil servants, job roles, examination systems, and salary structures to students of the university who are interested in working as civil servants. A total of 78 students, from first to third year undergraduates and first-year junior college students, participated, deepening their understanding of various aspects of civil service work, including the differences between national and local government employees, recruitment exams, job duties, salary structures, and whether or not transfers are required.
Going forward, Hachioji Campus will continue to provide support and assistance from faculty and staff to ensure that each student can make a career choice they are satisfied with.
Special Report: "If you're aiming to become a civil servant, choose Teikyo University."
