Teikyo University Institute of Sports Science & Medicine held a nutrition seminar for student athletes and staff atHachioji Campus

On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, the first nutrition seminar for student athletes and staff of 2025 was held at Teikyo University's Hachioji Campus by Mizue Fujii, Senior Assistant Professor at the university's Sports Medical Science Center and head of the Nutrition Department.

The seminar, held under the theme of "Competition Period Dietary Guidelines: To Bring Out the Best Performance," was attended primarily by active athletes and students working as staff at clubs affiliated with the Athletic Department. The lecture focused on dietary guidelines when dividing the competition period into three periods: two weeks before, a few days before, and the day of the competition. A wide range of explanations were given, including weight control, maintaining immune function, and the types and timing of meals to ensure optimal performance on the day of the competition.

The Sports Medicine Center will continue to verify and research its daily activities and share its findings and knowledge with society at large.
