On Monday, June 9, 2025, a donation ceremony to support the areas affected by the Myanmar and Thailand earthquakes was held at Omuta City Hall. A total of seven people participated, including three students from the Teikyo University Faculty of Fukuoka Medical Technology student clubs, the International Exchange Club and the Teikyo University Fukuoka Rotaract Club, and four faculty and staff members.
The presentation ceremony began with a brief explanation from Teikyo University Fukuoka Rotaract Club representative Akito Ueno (2nd year student Faculty of Fukuoka Medical Technology) about the background and purpose of the fundraising campaign, followed by a presentation of the relief funds to Yoshitaka Seki, Mayor of Omuta City and head of the Omuta City District of the Fukuoka Prefecture Chapter of the Japanese Red Cross Society. Mayor Seki expressed his gratitude, saying, "I hope that you will continue to use your international exchange activities and community contributions to further your own growth."
The donations raised through this fundraising campaign will be used by the Japanese Red Cross Society to help with relief efforts for the victims and to support the recovery of the affected areas.
Teikyo University Fukuoka Campus will continue to actively support students' voluntary social contribution activities and work to Community Engagement.
