In a much-awaited reunion, Teikyo University's Media Library Center (MELIC) triumphantly returned to the physical realm at the 25th Library Exhibition held at Pacifico Yokohama. The event, held on October 24th and 25th, 2023, marked the first in-person gathering since the onset of the new coronavirus pandemic.
MELIC's booth was a testament to the heart of co-reading supporters, showcasing a meticulously recreated blackboard bookshelf straight from the heart of the library. Here, visitors immersed themselves in the collaborative spirit that drives Teikyo University's vibrant reading community. Inside the booth, a joint reading obi-making workshop sparked engaging exchanges with enthusiastic attendees.

Kaya Kobayashi, a second-year Graduate School of Teacher Education student, reflected on the significance of this cherished event: "The Library Exhibition is an event that Kyodo Supporters are looking forward to. It was a shame, but I think this event made my juniors feel glad that they have continued their activities. At the online event, we mostly just communicated, but at the in-person event, we were able to interact with visitors. We were able to communicate." Sakura Shiino, a second-year Faculty of Law student, echoed the sentiments of newfound connection: "When I participated this time, I was nervous because so many people who were knowledgeable about books were at the Teikyo University booth. Co-reading activities - I was able to talk to a lot of people about it, and as I came into contact with many people, I was able to gradually communicate with them."

The event's first day featured an illuminating session with Professor Kazuhiro Kamata from the Faculty of Education, where he shared the allure of reading and his personal literary journey through junior high and high school. The venue was abuzz, with every seat filled and standing room at a premium. Day two witnessed the fiercely contested "Kanto C Block Battle" of the National University Biblio Battle 2023. Teikyo University's own Akita Takase, a third-year student from the Faculty of Liberal Arts, took the stage, passionately introducing his chosen book in a five-minute frenzy. The result was resounding - "Mogu ∞ (Mogu no Mugen Daijo)," Takase's selection, earned the coveted title of champion book. Takase now looks forward to representing Teikyo University in the upcoming 14th National University Biblio Battle - Capital Battle - slated for December.

The triumphant return of the library exhibition after a four-year hiatus left students beaming with joy, relishing the unique charm of face-to-face interaction.
