Hachioji, Japan - On Thursday, September 15, 2022, Teikyo University hosted a social event for dormitory students living in the International Student Dormitory Hachioji-Otsuka "T-House" and the International Student Dormitory Fuchu. The purpose of the event was to promote friendship and encourage a fulfilling university life for international students.

The event, planned by the Resident Assistants (RAs) of each dormitory, took place at a park near the university and was attended by 32 dormitory students from various countries, including Korea, Thailand, the Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, Myanmar, and Japan. Language barriers were overcome, with explanations given in both Japanese and English to ensure that all participants could engage with one another. The exchange party provided a unique opportunity for the students to interact and make new friends. Teikyo University's International Student Dormitories strive to provide exciting and supportive dormitory life for students. The Hachioji-Otsuka "T-House" allows students to enter the dormitory midway through their stay, offering a flexible option for those interested in international student dormitories. Current Teikyo University students are encouraged to apply through the official "T-House" website. The event showcased the university's commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for international students, highlighting the importance of cross-cultural communication and community-building in university life.
