Teikyo University New Industry Co-Creation Seminar was held

On November 11th (Friday) and 21st (Monday), 2022, the Teikyo University New Industry Co-Creation Seminar was held at Teikyo University Itabashi Campus. In order to contribute to the creation of innovation and the resolution of social issues, the university makes maximum use of the seeds and intellectual resources it possesses, promotes systematic and continuous joint research with companies, and develops a co-creation environment. We aim to build.
As a first step, we planned a total of three seminars in order to strengthen networking between our university and companies and to provide opportunities for exploring joint research themes. Next, on the 11th (Friday), the 2nd “Health and preventive medicine for active seniors” will be held, and on the 21st (Monday), the 3rd will be “Health management business developed through measurement and visualization”. All companies participated.

At the second seminar, a keynote speech was given by Hiroshi Komiyama, Chairman the Board of Directors of Mitsubishi Research Institute, Inc., entitled "Expectations for Industry-Academia Co-Creation to Realize a Platinum Society," and Mr. Tsuyoshi Matsumoto, Managing Director of Japan Innovation Network, Professor Yoshiharu Fukuda Graduate School Graduate School of Public Health Yoshiharu Deguchi, Professor of the Faculty of Pharma-Science, and others gave lectures on their activities and research. In addition, Mr. Matsumoto, Professor Fukuda, and Professor Deguchi will be panelists, and the moderator will be Shinichi Kamei, Research Director, Mitsubishi Research Institute, Inc. The panelists will discuss the topic ``Solving social issues and co-creating new industries through industry-academia collaboration - Medicine, Pharmacy, and the Public. A panel discussion was held on the theme of "Creating an active senior industry using a hygienic approach."
At the third seminar, Masayuki Iwade, Director Sports Bureau of our university, gave a keynote speech entitled "Co-creation with Medical Science Support that Supported the Consecutive Victory Group's Principles", followed by a lecture by the University of Tsukuba's School School of Medicine and Sports Medicine Center. Lectures were given by Professor Hirotaka Kono, Associate Professor Daisuke Saegusa of the University's Faculty of Pharma-Science, and Professor Junichi Furutoku Graduate School Graduate School of Medical Care and Technology.
In addition, Makoto Asashima, Deputy Director of the University's Advanced Comprehensive Research Organization, introduced the university's future efforts regarding industry-academia collaboration.After the seminar, a networking event was held with many faculty members in addition to the presenters, and participants were invited to share information with participating companies. Various opinions were exchanged with everyone.

We will continue to engage in educational and research activities with the aim of promoting systematic and continuous joint research with companies and building a co-creation environment.
