A research group led by Associate Professor Yamada discovered a new drug resistance mechanism for pathogenic fungi.

An international research team consisting of a Japanese research group led by Takeshi Yamada, Associate Professor the Teikyo University Institute of Medical Mycology, a Lausanne University Hospital in Lausanne, Switzerland, and a Swiss research group led by Michel Monod, an honorary Professor Lausanne University, has created a new species of tinea bacillus. We have discovered a new drug-resistant mechanism for pathogenic fungi from the found Lausanne-resistant bacteria. The results of this research are expected to contribute to the achievement of SDGs Goal 3 (health and welfare for all). For details, please see the press release below.
