The international youth science exchange program "Sakura Science Exchange Program" was held online.

For three days from March 7th (Monday) to 9th (Wednesday), 2022, the Institute for Asian International Infectious Diseases (ADC) of Teikyo University held an exhange event as a project of the National Research and Development Corporation (JST) "Sakura Science Exchange Program". We interacted online with a total of 13 doctors, nurses, and researchers from hospitals and universities in Vietnam, including the Hanoi National Children's Hospital, which signed an MOU (International Exchange Agreement) with our university in 2021.

This program is a project to invite young people from overseas to Japan and experience Japanese sciences and technologies through Industry-Academic-Government Collaboration. Although it's been under the restrictions for crossing borders and many international exchange program have been prolonged, it was held online in order to promote the internationalization of each institution and exchanges. The exchange program planned by ADC aims to understand and master theories and techniques which focus on "medical safety," "infectious disease control," "crisis management," and "biosafety" at the Teikyo University Hospital. And also this program aims to promote these techniques for young professionals in Vietnam. During this program, professors in each specialized field condcted classes, and explained how the laboratory is and how conduct experiments by streaming some videos about the Pediatric in Teikyo university hospital. Audience seemed to listened the lectures enthusiastically following their interests, and asked many questions. The time we spent together was very meaningful that we exchanged our knowledge each other thorugh online without stopping medical work.
ADC will continue to strive to deepen cooperations each other throgh science technology by working with government and academia .
