The medical field is constantly advancing. The ideal human resources required are changing every day. In the Division of Pharma-Science, two courses have been set up to develop human resources that meet social needs. Through advanced education and research, we develop human resources who can play a leading role in clinical / non-clinical settings.

Overview of Division of Pharma-Science

The Division of Pharma-Science has a four-year doctoral program established on top of the six-year pharmacy education, with the main purpose of training pharmacists and university faculty members who have solid research and educational abilities and can be leaders in clinical practice. 
There are two courses, the clinical pharmacy course that aims to train highly specialized professionals (pharmacists) who have practical, scientific thinking, and research abilities in the medical field, and the pharmacy course that aims to train mainly university faculty members who have educational and research abilities for developing Pharmacists who can demonstrate a high level of competence in clinical practice and develop new areas of expertise.
In each course, through training in the pharmacy department at the School of Medicine hospital equipped with the latest equipment and cutting-edge research and lectures in the new university building from 2012, we aim to aquire advanced knowledge and research abilities as a truly trusted medical person.

GPA (Grade Point Average) is a system that evaluates achievements of learning with objective numerical values. This system is generally based on the grade evaluation system based on universities in the United States and Europe.

Completion Requirements

  1. Students must be enrolled in school for at least 4 years. However, regarding the period of enrollment, for those who have achieved excellent research achievements, it is sufficient to enroll for 3 years or more.
  2. Students acquire 30 credits or more for the lesson subject. Please refer to the course requirements as the method of taking the standard number of credits varies depending on the year of admission.
  3. Stundets must receive the necessary research guidance.
  4. Stundents submit a dissertation and pass its examination and test.
  5. In principle, the content of the dissertation must be submitted as the original dissertation.
