Teikyo University Welcomes Delegation from UTRGV, the University of Turku, and the University of TokyoItabashi Campus

On Friday, October 9, 2026, a delegation of five representatives from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV), the University of Turku, and the University of Tokyo's Graduate School visited Teikyo University's Itabashi Campus and Teikyo University Hospital.
Teikyo University has established an academic exchange agreement between its School of Medicine and the Institute of Neuroscience at UTRGV, as well as a departmental exchange agreement between its Department of Hygiene and Public Health and the University of Turku. Through these partnerships, the university has been actively promoting educational and research collaboration, including joint research on hypertension and dementia.
During this visit, the delegation toured Trauma and Resuscitation Center and robot-assisted surgery facilities at Teikyo University Hospital, gaining a deeper understanding of the university's advanced medical equipment and treatment system. The delegation subsequently met with Professor Shunsuke Kobayashi, Chair of the Department of Neurology at Teikyo University School of Medicine, to exchange views on the university's educational and research environment and explore opportunities for future academic collaboration.
Building on this visit, Teikyo University will continue to strengthen its partnerships with overseas institutions and further promote internationalization by expanding collaborative research, student exchanges, and other educational and research initiatives.
