Hachioji CampusHachioji Campus a work experience program for students from Matsugaya Junior High School.

On October 6th (Tuesday) and 7th (Wednesday), 2026, Teikyo University's Hachioji Campus hosted a work experience program for students from Hachioji Municipal Matsugaya Junior High School.

Two students participated in the work experience program. On the first day, they received an overview of Teikyo University and toured the facilities and administrative offices of Hachioji Campus. Afterwards, at OUCHI COMMONS, they learned about the work related to international students and student exchange programs, and experienced interviewing international students and working at the counter. On the second day, at Teikyo University Media Library Center (MELIC), they performed counter duties, inventory checks, and glued and stamped covers on books before they were checked out, experiencing the work done by staff and employees.

This work experience program provided students with a valuable opportunity to deepen their understanding of work and consider their future career paths by allowing them to experience the actual duties of university staff. It also served as an opportunity for the university to strengthen its ties with the local community through interaction with the students. We will continue to value our collaboration with the community and strive to contribute to local society.
